Lakhpati Didi program has ensured educational, social, economic and political empowerment of women: Prime Minister

The Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi has acknowledged that Lakhpati Didis are ensuring their participation in nation building through self-help groups. He further added that unprecedented work for women welfare is being done for the last 10 years so that women in the country can move forward, become prosperous and establish new dimensions of progress.

Commenting on a post on X by Union Minister for Agriculture and Farmers’ Welfare, Shri Shivraj Singh Chauhan, the Prime Minister’s Office wrote:

“केंद्रीय मंत्री श्री @ChouhanShivraj जी लिखते हैं कि लखपति दीदियां स्व-सहायता समूह के माध्यम से राष्ट्र निर्माण में अपनी भागीदारी सुनिश्चित कर रही हैं। देश में महिलाएं आगे बढ़ें, समृद्ध और संपन्न बनें व प्रगति के नए आयाम स्थापित करें, इसके लिए विगत 10 वर्षों से महिला कल्याण के अभूतपूर्व कार्य किए जा रहे हैं। महिलाओं के शैक्षणिक, सामाजिक, आर्थिक और राजनीतिक सशक्तिकरण को सुनिश्चित किया गया है।”
