ബിർമിംഗ്ഹാം കോമൺവെൽത്ത് ഗെയിംസിൽ വെള്ളി മെഡൽ നേടിയ ഇന്ത്യൻ പുരുഷ ഹോക്കി ടീമിനെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു.
പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു :
"കോമൺവെൽത്ത് ഗെയിംസിലൂടനീളമുള്ള ആവേശകരമായ പ്രകടനത്തിനും ഒരു വെള്ളി മെഡൽ നേടിയതിനും പുരുഷ ഹോക്കി ടീമിനെ ഓർത്ത് അഭിമാനിക്കുന്നു. വരും കാലങ്ങളിൽ ഈ ടീം ഇന്ത്യയുടെ അഭിമാനം നിലനിർത്തുകയും ഹോക്കി പിന്തുടരാൻ യുവാക്കളെ പ്രചോദിപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുമെന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഉറപ്പുണ്ട്."
