I am here to express my gratitude for the President's Address.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Our esteemed President has elaborated on the resolution for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ (Developed India) in her address. The Hon’ble President has raised important topics. The Hon’ble President has guided all of us and the nation, for which I express my heartfelt gratitude to her.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Many Hon’ble members have expressed their views on the President's address yesterday and today. I would like to especially mention those who have come among us for the first time as MPs, and some of our esteemed colleagues who have expressed their thoughts, adhering to all the rules of the Parliament. Their conduct was as if they were experienced MPs. Therefore, despite being new to Parliament, they have enhanced the dignity of the House and have made this debate more valuable with their thoughts.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The country has demonstrated to the world that it has conducted the biggest election campaign in the world successfully. The people of the country have chosen us in the biggest election campaign in the world.

And Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

I can understand the pain of some people who, despite spreading continuous lies, faced a severe defeat. This is the biggest election campaign in the world, and the people of Bharat have given us the opportunity to serve the country for the third time. This is a very significant and proud event for the democratic world.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The people of the country have given us this mandate after testing us on every criterion. The people have seen our track record of 10 years. They have seen us working with utmost dedication with the mantra of ‘Jan Seva Hi Pratham Seva’ (public service as the first service) for the welfare of the poor. It pulled 25 crore poor people out of poverty in 10 years. This successful effort to bring so many people out of poverty in such a short time in the Bharat’s independent period has become a blessing for us in this election.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

When we won for the first time in 2014, we had said during the election campaign that we will have zero tolerance towards corruption. And today I am proud that our government has relieved the common man of the country who was afflicted by corruption. Corruption has hollowed out the country like termites. In such a situation, our zero tolerance policy towards corruption has been blessed by the country.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Today Bharat’s reputation has increased worldwide. Today, Bharat is being honoured globally and every Indian feels proud of the way the world looks at Bharat.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The people of the country have seen that our sole objective is nation first, Bharat first. Every policy, every decision, every action of ours has been measured by one scale: Bharat first. With the spirit of putting Bharat first, we have continued the necessary reforms in the country. Over the past 10 years, our government has been striving for the welfare of all the people of the country with the mantra of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas'.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

We are dedicated to the principles of Bharat’s Constitution, keeping the spirit of ‘Sarvapanth Samabhaav’ (Respect for all religions) above all while serving the country.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

This country has seen the politics of appeasement for a long time; this country has also seen the governance model of appeasement for a long time. For the first time, we have attempted a complete secularism, not appeasement but satisfaction. When we talk about satisfaction, it means saturation of every scheme. Our concept of governance reaching the last person is fulfilled by this. And when we follow the principle of saturation, true social justice is achieved. True secularism is achieved by saturation, and that is why the people of the country have given us this third mandate.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Appeasement has devastated this country, and that is why we have followed the principle of justice to all, appeasement to none.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The people of Bharat have supported us after observing and evaluating our 10 years of work.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

We have once again been given the opportunity to serve 140 crore citizens of this country.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

This election has proven how mature the people of Bharat are, how judiciously and with high ideals they use their wisdom. As a result, we are here before you, humbly ready to serve the people of the country for the third time.

The people of the country have seen our policies. The people have trusted our intentions and our dedication.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

In this election, we went among the people with a great resolve, seeking their blessings. We sought blessings for our ‘Viksit Bharat’ resolve. We approached the people with a commitment to building a ‘Viksit Bharat’, with good intentions and the aim of public welfare. The public has endorsed our resolve for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ and has given us the opportunity to serve the nation once again.

When the country develops, the dreams of millions of people are fulfilled. When the country develops, the resolutions of millions of people are realized.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

When the country develops, a strong foundation is laid for future generations to fulfil their dreams.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The direct benefit of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ is the dignity of our citizens and the improvement in their quality of life. This naturally comes to the fate of millions of citizens with a ‘Viksit Bharat’. The common citizen of my country has longed for these things after independence.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

When Bharat develops, there is a significant improvement in the condition of our villages and cities. The life in villages becomes dignified and elevated, and new opportunities for development emerge. The development of our cities also becomes an opportunity in a ‘Viksit Bharat’, and it is our dream that the cities of Bharat stand equal in the journey of global development.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

A ‘Viksit Bharat’ means that millions of citizens have access to millions of opportunities. Many opportunities become available, and they can achieve new boundaries of development according to their skills, capacities, and resources.

Today, I assure the countrymen through you that we will make every possible effort to fulfil the resolve of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ with complete dedication and honesty. Every moment of our time and every particle of our body will be dedicated to fulfilling the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’ for our countrymen. We had promised the people of the country 24 by 7 for 2047. Today, I reiterate in this House that we will surely accomplish this task.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Recall the days of 2014. If we remember those days of 2014, we will realize that the people of our country had lost their self-confidence, and the nation was sinking into a pit of despair. The greatest loss that the country suffered before 2014 was the loss of the citizens' confidence. When confidence and self-belief are lost, it becomes difficult for a person, a society, or a country to stand up. At that time, the common man's refrain was that इस देश का कुछ हो नहीं सकता (nothing can be be done in this country). Everywhere, we heard those seven words: "Nothing can be done in this country," before 2014. Those words had become the identity of pre-2014 Bharat. Newspapers were filled with news of scams worth hundreds of crores of rupees every day; news on scams competing with old ones. This was the period of scams being carried out by scamsters. There was shameless acceptance of the fact that only 15 paise of every rupee sent from Delhi reached its destination. There was a scam of 85 paise in every rupee. This era of corruption had plunged the country into despair. There was a policy paralysis. Nepotism was so widespread that ordinary young people had given up hope, believing that if they didn't have someone to recommend them, their lives would be stuck. This was the situation. The poor had to pay thousands in bribes to get a house.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

People had to run around MPs' offices even to get a gas cylinder connection, and even then, they couldn't get a connection without paying a bribe.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Even free ration was uncertain; people had to bribe to get what was rightfully theirs. Most of our brothers and sisters had become so disheartened that they blamed their fate and resigned themselves to their destiny.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Those were the days before 2014 when those seven words had become ingrained in the minds of Indians. The society was drowning in despair. At that time, the people of the country chose us to serve, and that moment marked the beginning of a new era of transformation. Over the past 10 years, I would say that my government has achieved many successes and accomplishments. But one achievement that has empowered all others is that the country has emerged from the pit of despair with hope and confidence. The nation's self-confidence has reached new heights, and as a result, those words that were once part of the dictionary of the country's youth began to disappear. Gradually, it became established in the minds of the people that what couldn't be done before 2014 could now be done; everything is possible in this country. We instilled this confidence. We demonstrated the fastest 5G rollout. And today the country proudly says that Bharat can do anything with the fastest 5G rollout.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

There was a time when big names were tainted by coal scams. Today, coal production has reached record levels. And this is the reason the country now proudly says that Bharat can do anything.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

There was a time before 2014 when massive bank frauds were committed through phone banking. The bank coffers were looted as if they were personal property.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

After 2014, changes in policies, speed in decision-making, and dedication to authenticity have resulted in Indian banks being ranked among the world's best banks. Today, Indian banks are the most profitable and are serving the people.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Before 2014, there was a time when terrorists could strike anywhere at will. After 2014, the situation changed. Before 2014, innocent people were killed, every corner of Bharat was targeted, and the governments remained silent. They were not even prepared to speak up. Today, post-2014, Bharat strikes back, conducts surgical strikes, carries out air strikes, and demonstrates its capability to the terrorists' masterminds.

Today, Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Every citizen of the country knows that Bharat can do anything to ensure its security.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Article 370, which was used as a tool for vote bank politics by some, had deprived the people of Jammu and Kashmir of their rights. The Constitution of Bharat could not enter the borders of Jammu and Kashmir. Those who danced holding the Constitution could not muster the courage to implement it in Jammu and Kashmir. They insulted Babasaheb Ambedkar. During the era of Article 370, stones were hurled at our forces, and people, sinking into despair, said that nothing could be done in Jammu and Kashmir. Today, the wall of Article 370 has been demolished, stone-pelting has stopped, democracy is strong, and people are increasingly trusting the Indian Constitution, the Indian Tricolour, and Indian democracy. They are enthusiastically coming forward to vote, and this is clearly visible.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

When this confidence and belief is instilled in 140 crore citizens, it becomes a driving force for development. This confidence has become a driving force for development.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

This confidence of ‘Viksit Bharat’ is the belief in achieving our resolution.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

During the freedom struggle, the emotions that ran high in the country, the enthusiasm, the zeal, the confidence that we would achieve independence—today, that same confidence has arisen in crores of people. Because of this confidence, the foundation for a ‘Viksit Bharat’ was laid in this election. The same eagerness that was seen during the freedom struggle is now seen in the realization of the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Today, the goals of Bharat are enormous, and in these ten years, Bharat has reached a position where we must compete with ourselves, break our old records, and take our development journey to the next level. The height of development that Bharat has reached in these 10 years has become a benchmark for our competition. The speed we have achieved in the last ten years must not be surpassed, and we are confident that we will meet the aspirations of the country at a faster pace.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

We will take every success, every sector to the next level.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

In the last ten years, we have moved the Indian economy from the 10th position to the 5th position. Now with the speed at which we have set out to reach the next level, we are determined to take the Indian economy to the 3rd position.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

In the past ten years, we have made Bharat a major manufacturer of mobile phones, a major exporter of mobile phones. Now, we are going to achieve the same success in semiconductors and other sectors. The chips that will be used in significant tasks around the world will be made from the soil of my Bharat, a result of the intelligence of Indian youth, a result of the hard work of Indian youth—we have this confidence in our hearts.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

We will advance towards a modern Bharat, reaching new heights of development, but our roots will remain grounded, our feet will remain connected to the lives of ordinary citizens. We have built homes for four crore poor people. In this tenure, we will rapidly build another three crore homes, ensuring that no one in this country has to live without a home.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

In the last ten years, we have seen remarkable success in making our country's sisters entrepreneurs through women self-help groups. Now, we will take this to the next level. We aim to significantly increase the economic activities of the sisters working in our women self-help groups, so much so that within a short period, we aim to make three crore sisters 'Lakhpati Didis'.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

I have said this before, and I repeat today—our third term means we will work at three times the speed. Our third term means we will put in three times the effort. Our third term means we will deliver three times the results to the people.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

It is a historic event that the NDA has come to power for the third time. After independence, this fortune has come to our country for the second time, and it has come after 60 years. This means that achieving this accomplishment requires immense hard work and extraordinary trust. It doesn't happen through political games; it happens through the blessings received by serving the people.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The people have given us a mandate for stability and continuity. Along with the Lok Sabha elections, Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir, it might have gone unnoticed by many, but there were elections held in four states along with the Lok Sabha elections during this time. And, Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir, the NDA achieved unprecedented success in all the four states. We have achieved remarkable victories. The land of Mahaprabhu Jagannath ji, Odisha, has showered us with abundant blessings.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

In Andhra Pradesh, the NDA achieved a clean sweep. Even the most powerful microscopes cannot spot the opposition there.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

In Arunachal Pradesh, we will once again form the government. In Sikkim, the NDA has formed the government again. Just six months ago, Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir, we achieved resounding victories in your home state Rajasthan, as well as in Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh.

We are receiving love and blessings from people in new regions.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The BJP has opened its account in Kerala this time, and with great pride, our MPs from Kerala are sitting with us. The BJP has registered a strong presence in several seats in Tamil Nadu. The BJP's vote percentage has increased compared to the last time In Karnataka, UP, and Rajasthan. There will be elections in three states soon. I am talking about Maharashtra, Haryana, and Jharkhand.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The number of votes we received in the last assembly elections in these three states has increased in this Lok Sabha election.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Our performance in Punjab has also been remarkable, and we have made gains. The blessings of the people are with us.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

In the 2024 elections, the people of this country have also given a mandate to the Congress, and that mandate is clear: stay where you are, remain in the opposition, and when arguments run out, keep shouting, keep screaming.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

This is the first time in Congress's history that they have failed to cross the 100-seat mark three times in a row. This is the third biggest defeat and the third worst performance in Congress's history. It would have been better if Congress had accepted their defeat, respected the mandate of the people, and reflected upon it. But instead, they are busy doing headstands, trying day and night to convince the citizens of Bharat that they have defeated us.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Why is this happening? Let me share an experience from everyday life. If a young child goes out on a bicycle and falls, starts crying, an adult comes and distracts the child by saying, ‘Look, an ant died,’ or ‘Look, a bird flew away, or ‘You ride bicycle so well. You have not fallen,’ to divert the child's attention and calm him down. Similarly, today, there is an attempt going on to distract and calm down the child and the Congress and its ecosystem is trying to do the same.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Remember the 1984 elections. Since then, 10 Lok Sabha elections have been held in the country. Despite 10 Lok Sabha elections after 1984, Congress has not been able to touch the 250-seat mark. This time they are stuck with 99.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

A story comes to mind: a boy, proud of his 99 marks, showed off to everyone that he has got very good marks. People, hearing 99, praised him and boosted his morale. Then his teacher came and asked, "Why are you distributing sweets? He has not scored 99 out of 100; he has got 99 out of 543." Now, who would explain to that ‘balak buddhi’ (child-like intelligence) that you have set a world record for failure?

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The statements from Congress leaders have surpassed the dialogues from the movie 'Sholay.' You all remember Mausi ji from the movie 'Sholay'... ‘We have lost the election for the third time, but Mausi, it's true we have lost only for the third time, but Mausi, isn't there a moral victory?’

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

They have got zero seats in 13 states. ‘But Mausi, we have got 0 seats in 13 states, still we have the hero, right?’

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

They have sunk the party, but ‘Mausi, the party is still breathing.’ I would tell the Congress members not to drown people's mandate in a false victory celebration. Do not drown the mandate in the intoxication of a fake victory, try to understand and accept the people's mandate honestly.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

I don't know if the allies of Congress have analysed this election. This election also carries a message for their allies.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

From 2024 onwards, the Congress will be known as a parasitic Congress party. From 2024 onwards, the Congress has become a parasitic Congress and a parasite is one that lives in a body while eating the same body. The Congress that aligns with a party eats away its votes and thrives at the cost of its ally. Therefore, the Congress has become a parasitic Congress. When I say parasitic, I base it on facts.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

I would like to present some statistics to the House through you and to the country through this House. Where BJP and Congress were in direct competition, or where Congress was a major party and its allies had 1-2-3 seats, the strike rate of the Congress was only 26 per cent. But where the Congress was a junior partner and was ally of any party which offered it some seats in some states, its strike rate was 50 per cent. Most of the Congress's 99 seats were won with the help of their allies. That's why I say that it is a parasitic Congress. In 16 states where Congress fought alone in this election, its voter share has fallen.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

In Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, and Madhya Pradesh, where Congress fought alone, they have won only 2 out of 64 seats. Only two out of 64 seats! This clearly indicates that the Congress has become entirely parasitic in this election, increasing its seat count by riding on the shoulders of its allies. If the Congress had not eaten up its allies' votes, winning so many seats in the Lok Sabha would have been very difficult for it.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

At such a time, when the country has chosen the path of development and is determined to realize the dream of a ‘Viksit Bharat’, Bharat has to unite and embark on a new journey of prosperity. However, it is unfortunate that the Congress party, which ruled for six decades, is spreading anarchy in the country. They speak against the people of the north in the south, spew venom against the south in the north; they speak against the people of west and speak against the noble men. They have made attempts to divide people on the basis of language. We have seen the misfortune of Congress nominating those people for Parliamentary elections who advocated separating parts of the country from Bharat. It is a sin committed by the Congress party. The Congress openly incites caste against caste with new narratives and spreading new rumours.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The Congress is promoting a tendency to demean people of one part of the country.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The Congress is also deliberately leading the country towards economic chaos. The promises that were made to the people and economic steps taken in the states ruled by them during the election period are dragging the country towards economic instability. They are doing it intentionally so that their states become a burden on the nation. During the election, they openly declared that if they didn't get the desired results, they would set the country on fire on June 4th. Official calls were made to gather people and spread anarchy. Spreading anarchy is their goal. They have tried to create chaos by questioning the democratic process of Bharat. The anarchy spread over CAA was a clear example of misleading the people for political purposes. They played the game of misleading the people. Their entire eco-system was behind this.

The country has seen attempts to incite riots.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Recently, a new drama has started to gain sympathy and a new game is being played. Let me share a story. A child came home from school, crying loudly, and his mother was worried. The child kept crying, saying he was beaten at school. He started crying loudly telling his mother that he was beaten by so many fellow students. The mother asked what happened, but the child didn't explain, just kept crying and saying that he was beaten up. The child didn't tell his mother that he insulted the mother of another child. He did not tell her mother that he tore someone's books. He did not tell his mother that he called the teacher a thief. He did not tell her that he stole someone's lunchbox. Yesterday, we witnessed similar childish behaviour in the House. There was a childish cry of ‘I was beaten. I was beaten by him. I was beaten here, I was beaten there.’ This was going on.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

A new drama has been enacted to gain sympathy. But the country knows the truth that this person is out on bail in cases involving the embezzlement of thousands of crores of rupees. He has been convicted in cases where he called OBC people thieves. He had to apologize after making irresponsible statements about the country's highest court. He faces charges of insulting a great freedom fighter like Veer Savarkar. There are ongoing cases against him for calling the president of the country's largest party a murderer. He has been accused of lying about many leaders, officials, and institutions, there are serious allegations of lying against him and those cases are ongoing.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

‘Balak Buddhi’ neither has a fixed place to speak nor a stable behaviour. When this ‘Balak Buddhi’ takes over completely, they get into altercations with anybody even in the House. When this ‘Balak Buddhi’ loses his limits, he sits inside the House and winks. His truth is now understood by the entire country, Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir. That's why today the country is telling him, ‘You won't be able to do it; you won't be able to do it.’

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Akhilesh ji (referring to Akhilesh Yadav), Tulsidas Ji said, झूठइ लेना झूठइ देना। झूठइ भोजन झूठ चबेना। Tulsidas Ji has said: झूठइ लेना झूठइ देना। झूठइ भोजन झूठ चबेना। The Congress has made lies its weapon of politics. The Congress has become addicted to lies. Just as a man-eating animal becomes addicted to blood, Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir, the Congress has become addicted to the blood of lies. The country celebrated ‘Khatakhat Diwas’ (Cheat Day) on July 1. On July 1, people were checking their bank accounts to see if they had received 8,500 rupees. This is the result of Congress's misleading narrative. They deceived the country's people, promising 8,500 rupees monthly to mothers and sisters, which has hurt their hearts and will become a curse that will destroy Congress.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Lies were told about EVMs, the Constitution, reservation. Earlier lies were told about Rafale, HAL, LIC, banks, and attempts were made to incite employees. His courage grew so much that he even tried to mislead the House yesterday. Lies were told about Agniveer in the House yesterday. Lies were told here yesterday that MSP is not being given.

Mr. Speaker Sir,

Tampering with the dignity of the Constitution is unfortunate for this House, and it does not suit those who have repeatedly won elections to the Lok Sabha to play with the dignity of the House.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

A party that has sat here for sixty years, that knows the workings of the government, that has a series of experienced leaders, when they choose the path of anarchy and lies, it is a sign that the country is heading towards a serious crisis. There is a proof.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Playing with the dignity of the House is an insult to our Constitution makers, an insult to the great men of this country, and an insult to the brave sons who sacrificed for the country's independence.

Therefore, Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

I know you are very magnanimous, you possess a generous heart, and you handle situations with a light and sweet smile even in times of crisis.

But Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

What is happening now and what happened yesterday, cannot be taken lightly if we are to protect parliamentary democracy.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

These actions should no longer be ignored by thinking of it as a behaviour of a child or considering him as such. They should definitely not be ignored. I say this because the intentions behind them are not noble; they pose serious dangers, and I want to alert the countrymen.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Their lies cast doubt on the discerning intelligence of our country's citizens. Their lies are a shameless act of slapping the common sense of the nation.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

These actions are a slap on the great traditions of the country.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

It is a great responsibility on you to uphold the dignity of this House. It is the expectation of the countrymen and this House that you will take strict action against the tradition of lies that has started in the House.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The Congress has always lied about the Constitution and reservations. Today, I want to present the truth before 140 crore countrymen, with great humility. It is very important for the countrymen to know this truth.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

This is the 50th year of the Emergency. The Emergency was imposed on the country solely for the greed for power and a dictatorial mentality. The Congress crossed all limits of cruelty. It spread its claws of cruelty on its own countrymen and committed the sin of tearing apart the fabric of the nation.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

Toppling governments, suppressing the media, every act was against the spirit of the Constitution, against the articles of the Constitution, against every word of the Constitution. These are the people who have committed grave injustices against the Dalits and the backward classes of the country from the beginning.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

And it was for this reason that Babasaheb Ambedkar resigned from Nehru ji's cabinet due to the Congress's anti-Dalit and anti-backward mindset. National security is a serious matter. Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir, the objective of such reforms is to prepare our forces for changing forms of warfare, evolving resources, changing weaponry, and shifting techniques. It is a significant responsibility to prepare our armed forces for these challenges, and we are committed to it despite facing criticism and false accusations and remaining silent. At such times, while we work to modernize and strengthen our military, what is Congress doing? They are spreading lies and conspiring to undermine defence reforms attempts.

Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir,

The truth is that the Congress can never see the Indian armed forces becoming strong. Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir, who does not know how weak our forces were during Nehru ji's time? The numerous scams by Congress weakened our military. Corruption in every requirement of the army, whether land, sea, or air, has been a tradition since the country's independence. The jeep scandal, submarine scandal, Bofors scandal—all these have prevented the strengthening of our military. Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir, there was a time during Congress's era when our forces did not even have bulletproof jackets. They weakened and destroyed our military while in power, and these actions continued even when they were in the opposition. Even in opposition, there were continuous efforts to weaken the military. When Congress was in power, it did not procure fighter jets, and when we tried, Congress conspired in every way to prevent fighter jets from reaching the Air Force. And, Hon’ble Mr Speaker Sir, see their childishness, they enjoyed flying small toy Rafale jets, mocking our military.

The central government has already enacted a strict law. Necessary steps are being taken to strengthen the entire examination system.

In the past 10 years, the NDA government has made development its biggest resolution. Today, we have the resolution to make Bharat the third-largest economy in the world. After so many years of independence, we are resolved to provide pure drinking water, to ensure water reaches every home.

The investment in infrastructure in Bharat has never been this high, and its benefits are visible to the citizens today. Large-scale employment and self-employment opportunities are being created in the country. There is a study from the past 18 years, which is very significant. This study states that job creation in the private sector has set the highest record in the last 18 years.

Today, the digital payment system of Bharat has become an example for the whole world. Whenever I have attended the G-20 group meetings, the prosperous countries of the world are astonished and have asked us many questions with great curiosity about our Digital India movement and digital payments. This is a huge success story of Bharat.

As Bharat progresses, naturally, competition and challenges are also increasing. Those who have problems with the progress of Bharat, who see the progress of Bharat as a challenge, are also adopting wrong tactics. These forces are attacking Bharat’s democracy, demography, and diversity, and this concern is not only mine. This concern is not only of the government or the treasury bench.

Let there be a healthy competition which government provides more employment.

We also have a saying here गहना कर्मणोगति:- that the path of action is profound. Therefore, instead of winning debates through accusations, lies, and deceit, efforts should be made to win people's hearts through action, skill, dedication, and a spirit of service.

In the midst of this discussion, I have also received sad news about the stampede in Hathras, UP, in which many people have tragically lost their lives. I express my condolences to those who lost their lives in this incident. I wish a speedy recovery to all the injured. The administration is engaged in relief and rescue work under the supervision of the state government. Senior officials of the central government are in constant contact with the Uttar Pradesh government. I assure everyone through this House that all possible help will be provided to the victims.

Today, we have had a long discussion, and you have seen that when I first had the opportunity to serve here as Prime Minister in the Lok Sabha, I faced similar challenges. In 2019, I faced the same challenges. I faced the same challenges in the Rajya Sabha, and now I have become stronger because of it.
