ರಾಜಗಾಂಭೀರ್ಯಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರಾದ ಏಷ್ಯ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳಕ್ಕೆ ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಸಂತಸ
ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಶ್ರಿ ನರೇಂದ್ರ ಮೋದಿಯವರು ಗುಜರಾತ್ ನ ಗಿರ್ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಜಗಾಂಭೀರ್ಯದ ಏಷ್ಯ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಹೆಚ್ಚಳವಾಗಿರುವುದಕ್ಕೆ ಅತೀವ ಸಂತಸ ವ್ಯಕ್ತಪಡಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಪ್ರಧಾನಮಂತ್ರಿ ಅವರು ತಮ್ಮ ಟ್ವೀಟ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ "ಎರಡು ಶುಭ ಸುದ್ದಿಗಳಿವೆ: ಗುಜರಾತ್ ನ ಗಿರ್ ಅರಣ್ಯ ಪ್ರದೇಶದಲ್ಲಿ ವಾಸಿಸುತ್ತಿರುವ ರಾಜಗಾಂಭೀರ್ಯ ಕ್ಕೆ ಹೆಸರಾದ ಏಷ್ಯ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಬಹುತೇಕ ಶೇಕಡ 29ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ." ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
ಭೌಗೋಳಿಕವಾಗಿ ಅವುಗಳು ಹರಡಿರುವ ಪ್ರದೇಶ ಶೇಕಡ 36 ರಷ್ಟು ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗಿದೆ.
ಗುಜರಾತ್ ನ ಜನತೆಗೆ ಶುಭಾಶಯಗಳನ್ನು ಕೋರಿರುವ ಪ್ರಧಾನಿ, ಈ ಸಾಧನೆಗೆ ಕಾರಣರಾದ ಎಲ್ಲರ ಪ್ರಯತ್ನಗಳಿಗೆ ಅಭಿನಂದನೆ ಸಲ್ಲಿಸಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
"ಕಳೆದ ಕೆಲವು ವರ್ಷಗಳಿಂದೀಚೆಗೆ ಗುಜರಾತ್ ನಲ್ಲಿ ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಸಂಖ್ಯೆ ಕ್ರಮೇಣ ಹೆಚ್ಚಾಗುತ್ತಿದೆ. ಇದಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮುದಾಯದ ಪಾಲುದಾರಿಕೆಯ ಜೊತೆಗೆ ತಂತ್ರಜ್ಞಾನಕ್ಕೆ ಒತ್ತು ನೀಡಿರುವುದು, ವನ್ಯಜೀವಿ ಸಂರಕ್ಷಣೆ, ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ವಸತಿ ಪ್ರದೇಶದ ಸೂಕ್ತ ನಿರ್ವಹಣೆ ಮತ್ತು ಮಾನವ- ಸಿಂಹಗಳ ಸಂಘರ್ಷ ತಪ್ಪಿಸಲು ಕೈಗೊಂಡಿರುವ ಕ್ರಮಗಳು ಕಾರಣವಾಗಿವೆ. ಈ ಸಕಾರಾತ್ಮಕ ಪ್ರವೃತ್ತಿ ಮುಂದುವರಿಯಲಿದೆ ಎಂಬ ಭರವಸೆ ಇದೆ." ಎಂದು ಹೇಳಿದ್ದಾರೆ.
