മിഖായേൽ ഗോർബച്ചേവിന്റെ നിര്യാണത്തിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി അഗാധമായ ദുഃഖം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.
ട്വീറ്റിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു :
"ചരിത്രത്തിന്റെ ഗതിയിൽ മായാത്ത മുദ്ര പതിപ്പിച്ച 20-ാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിലെ പ്രമുഖ രാഷ്ട്രതന്ത്രജ്ഞരിൽ ഒരാളായ മിഖായേൽ ഗോർബച്ചേവിന്റെ കുടുംബത്തിനും സുഹൃത്തുക്കൾക്കും ഞാൻ ഞങ്ങളുടെ അഗാധമായ അനുശോചനം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തുന്നു. ഇന്ത്യയുമായുള്ള ബന്ധം ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിന് അദ്ദേഹം നൽകിയ സംഭാവനകളെ ഞങ്ങൾ അനുസ്മരിക്കുകയും വിലമതിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു."
