കോമൺവെൽത്ത് ഗെയിംസിൽ വനിതകളുടെ ജാവലിൻ ത്രോയിൽ വെങ്കലം നേടിയ അന്നു റാണിയെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു.
പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു :
“അന്നു റാണി പ്രശംസാര്‍ഹമായ കായികതാരമാണ്. അവർ മികച്ച പ്രതിരോധശേഷി പ്രകടിപ്പിക്കുകയും മികച്ച കഴിവുകൾ കാണിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു. അവർ ജാവലിൻ ത്രോയിൽ വെങ്കല മെഡൽ നേടിയതിൽ എനിക്ക് സന്തോഷമുണ്ട്. അവർക്ക് അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങൾ. വരും വർഷങ്ങളിലും അവർ മികച്ച പ്രകടനം തുടരുമെന്ന് എനിക്ക് ഉറപ്പുണ്ട്."
