PM condoles the passing of Shri Mani Shankar Mukhopadhyay Ji

Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi today condoled the passing of Shri Mani Shankar Mukhopadhyay Ji.
PM hailed him as a towering figure in Bengali literature whose words portrayed the lives of people with sensitivity and insight.
In a post on X, Shri Modi said:
“Deeply saddened by the passing of Shri Mani Shankar Mukhopadhyay Ji, fondly known as Shankar.
He was a towering figure in Bengali literature whose words portrayed the lives of people with sensitivity and insight. Through his unforgettable works, he impacted generations of readers and enriched India’s literary world.
My heartfelt condolences to his family, friends and countless admirers. Om Shanti.”
“শ্রী মণি শঙ্কর মুখোপাধ্যায়-যিনি শংকর নামে বিখ্যাত- এর প্রয়াণে গভীরভাবে শোকাহত ।
বাংলা সাহিত্যের এক উজ্জ্বল নক্ষত্র হিসেবে তিনি মানুষের জীবনকে অসাধারণ সংবেদনশীলতা ও অন্তর্দৃষ্টির সঙ্গে তাঁর লেখায় তুলে ধরেছেন। তাঁর অবিস্মরণীয় সৃষ্টি, বিভিন্ন প্রজন্মের পাঠককে প্রভাবিত এবং ভারতের সাহিত্যভাণ্ডারকে সমৃদ্ধ করেছে।
