പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി തമിഴ്‌നാട്ടിലെ ശ്രീ രംഗനാഥസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ ദർശനം നടത്തി
മഹാനായ കമ്പൻ തന്റെ രാമായണം ആദ്യമായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ച പൊതുവേദിയായ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ വച്ച് കമ്പ രാമായണത്തിലെ വരികളും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രവിച്ചു.
എക്‌സിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പോസ്റ്റ് ചെയ്തു:
"ശ്രീ രംഗനാഥസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ പ്രാർത്ഥിക്കാൻ അവസരം ലഭിച്ചതിൽ അഭിമാനിക്കുന്നു. ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീരാമന് ഈ ക്ഷേത്രവുമായി ദീർഘകാലബന്ധം ഉണ്ട്. ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീരാമൻ ആരാധിച്ചിരുന്ന ദൈവത്താൽ അനുഗ്രഹിക്കപ്പെട്ടതിൽ ഞാനും അനുഗ്രഹാതീതനായി വിശ്വസിക്കുന്നു."

ക്ഷേത്രദർശന മധ്യേ കമ്പ രാമായണത്തിലെ വരികളും പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രവിക്കുകയുണ്ടായി.
"ശ്രീ രംഗനാഥസ്വാമി ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ വച്ച് കമ്പ രാമായണത്തിലെ ശ്ലോകങ്ങൾ കേൾക്കാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞത് ഞാൻ ജീവിതകാലം മുഴുവൻ നെഞ്ചിലേറ്റി നടക്കുന്ന ഒരു അനുഭവമായി അവശേഷിക്കും. മഹാനായ കമ്പൻ തന്റെ രാമായണം ആദ്യമായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതും ഈ ക്ഷേത്രത്തിൽ തന്നെയാണെന്നത് അതിനെ കൂടുതൽ ശ്രദ്ധേയമാക്കുന്നു."
