സുരിനാമിന്റെ പരമോന്നത സിവിലിയൻ ബഹുമതിയായ ഗ്രാൻഡ് ഓർഡർ ഓഫ് ദ ചെയിൻ ഓഫ് യെല്ലോ സ്റ്റാർ ലഭിച്ച രാഷ്ട്രപതിയെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു.
ഇന്ത്യൻ രാഷ്ട്രപതിയുടെ ട്വീറ്റിന് മറുപടിയായി പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു;
"സുരിനാമിന്റെ പരമോന്നത സിവിലിയൻ ബഹുമതി - ഗ്രാൻഡ് ഓർഡർ ഓഫ് ദി ചെയിൻ ഓഫ് ദി ചെയിൻ ഓഫ് ദി യെല്ലോ സ്റ്റാർ ലഭിച്ചതിൽ രാഷ്ട്രപതിജിക്ക് അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങൾ. സുരിനാം ഗവൺമെന്റിന്റെയും ജനങ്ങളുടെയും ഈ പ്രത്യേക ആദരം നമ്മുടെ രാജ്യങ്ങൾ തമ്മിലുള്ള ശാശ്വത സൗഹൃദത്തിന്റെ സൂചകമാണ് ."
