സിക്കിമിലുണ്ടായ ഹിമപാതത്തിലെ ജീവഹാനിയിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ദുഃഖം രേഖപ്പെടുത്തി.
പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയുടെ ഓഫീസ് ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു :
"സിക്കിമിലെ ഹിമപാതത്തിൽ ദുഖിക്കുന്നു. തങ്ങളുടെ പ്രിയപ്പെട്ടവരെ നഷ്ടപ്പെട്ടവർക്ക് അനുശോചനം അറിയിക്കുന്നു. പരിക്കേറ്റവർ ഉടൻ സുഖം പ്രാപിക്കുമെന്ന് ഞാൻ പ്രതീക്ഷിക്കുന്നു. രക്ഷാപ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ നടന്നുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുകയാണ്, ദുരിതബാധിതർക്ക് സാധ്യമായ എല്ലാ സഹായങ്ങളും നൽകുന്നുണ്ട്: പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി"
