റാണി വേലു നാച്ചിയാരുടെ ജന്മവാർഷികത്തിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി അവർക്ക് ആദരാഞ്ജലികൾ അർപ്പിച്ചു.
ഒരു ട്വീറ്റിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു;
"ധീരയായ റാണി വേലു നാച്ചിയാരെ അവരുടെ ജന്മവാർഷികത്തിൽ അനുസ്മരിക്കുന്നു. അവരുടെ അടങ്ങാത്ത ധൈര്യം വരും തലമുറകളെ പ്രചോദിപ്പിച്ചുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കും. കൊളോണിയലിസത്തിനെതിരെ പോരാടാനുള്ള അവരുടെ ശക്തമായ പ്രതിബദ്ധത ശ്രദ്ധേയമാണ്. നമ്മുടെ നാരീശക്തിയുടെ ആത്മാവിനെ അവർ പ്രതിനിധീകരിക്കുന്നു."
