India’s Cumulative COVID-19 Vaccination Coverage exceeds 70.75 Cr
Recovery Rate currently at 97.48%
37,875New Cases reported in the last 24 hours
India's Active Caseload (3, 91,256)is 1.18% of Total Cases
Weekly Positivity Rate (2.49%) less than 3% for last 75 days
With the administration of 78,47,625vaccine doses in the last 24 hours, country’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage surpassed the cumulative figure of 70.75 Cr (70,75,43,018) as per provisional reports till 7 am today. This has been achieved through 72, 81,305sessions.

The Union Government is committed to accelerating the pace and expanding the scope of COVID-19 vaccination throughout the country.
The recovery of 39,114 patients in the last 24 hours has increased the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) to 3, 22, 64,051.
Consequently, India’s recovery rate stands at 97.48%.
Sustained and collaborative efforts by the Centre and the States/UTs continue the trend of less than 50,000 Daily New Cases that is being reported for 73 consecutive days now.
37,875 new cases were reported in the last 24 hours.
The Active Caseload is presently 3, 91, 256. Active cases presently constitute 1.18% of the country's total Positive Cases.
The testing capacity across the country continues to be expanded. The last 24 hours saw a total of 17, 53, 745 tests being conducted. India has so far conducted over 53.49 Cr (53,49,43,093) cumulative tests.
While testing capacity has been enhanced across the country, Weekly Positivity Rate at 2.49% remains less than 3% for the last 75 days now. The Daily Positivity rate dips to 2.16%. The daily Positivity rate has remained below3% for last 9 days and below 5% for 93 consecutive days now.

Update on COVID-19 Vaccine Availability in States/UTs
More than 70.31Crore vaccine doses provided to States/UTs
More than 5.64 Crore balance and unutilized vaccine doses still available with States/UTswith more than 8 Lakh doses in Pipeline
As part of the nationwide vaccination drive, Government of India has been supporting the States and UTs by providing them COVID Vaccines free of cost. In the new phase of the universalization of the COVID19 vaccination drive, the Union Government will procure and supply (free of cost) 75% of the vaccines being produced by the vaccinemanufacturers in the country to States and UTs.

More than 70.31crore (70, 31, 70,775) vaccine doses have been provided to States/UTs so far through Govt of India (free of cost channel) and through direct state procurement category.Further, more than 8 Lakh doses (8, 02,550) are in the pipeline.
More than5.64 Cr (5, 64, 50,070) balance and unutilized COVID Vaccine doses are still available with the States/UTs to be administered.
