സ്വാഹിദ് ദിവസിൽ അസം പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത എല്ലാവരുടെയും വീര ധൈര്യത്തെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി അനുസ്മരിച്ചു.
ട്വീറ്റിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു;
"അസം പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിന് നമ്മുടെ ചരിത്രത്തിൽ ഒരു പ്രത്യേക സ്ഥാനമുണ്ട്. ഇന്ന്, സ്വാഹിദ് ദിവസിൽ, ഈ പ്രസ്ഥാനത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്ത എല്ലാവരുടെയും ധീരമായ ധീരത ഞാൻ ഓർക്കുന്നു. അസാമിന്റെ തനതായ സംസ്കാരം സംരക്ഷിക്കാൻ അവർ നൽകിയ സംഭാവന നാം ഒരിക്കലും മറക്കില്ല."
