കോമൺവെൽത്ത് ഗെയിംസിൽ പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ 10,000 മീറ്റർ റേസ് വാക്കിൽ വെങ്കല മെഡൽ നേടിയതിന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി സന്ദീപ് കുമാറിനെ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു.
പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു;
“നമ്മുടെ റേസ് വാക്കിംഗ് ടീം ബർമിംഗ്ഹാം ഗെയിമുകളിൽ മികവ് പുലർത്തുന്നത് കാണാൻ സന്തോഷമുണ്ട്. 10,000 മീറ്റർ ഇനത്തിൽ വെങ്കല മെഡൽ നേടിയ സന്ദീപ് കുമാറിന് അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങൾ. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രമങ്ങൾക്ക് ആശംസകൾ നേരുന്നു."
