પ્રધાનમંત્રી શ્રી નરેન્દ્ર મોદીએ રાજામાલાઇ, ઇડુક્કીમાં ભૂસ્ખલનને કારણે થયેલ જાનહાની અંગે દુઃખની લાગણી વ્યક્ત કરી હતી. એક ટવીટમાં પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ કહ્યું કે, “રાજામાલાઇ, ઇડુક્કીમાં ભૂસ્ખલનને કારણે થયેલ જાનહાની વિશે જાણી દુઃખ થયું. આ દુ:ખની ઘડીમાં મારી સંવેદના શોકગ્રસ્ત પરિવારો સાથે છે. ઘાયલ થયેલા લોકો ઝડપથી સ્વસ્થ થાય તેવી કામના કરું છું. એનડીઆરએફ અને વહીવટીતંત્ર અસરગ્રસ્તોને સહાયતા પૂરી પાડીને ઘટના સ્થળ પર કામ કરી રહ્યા છે.

પ્રધાનમંત્રીએ જે લોકોએ પોતાનો જીવ ગુમાવ્યો છે મૃતકોના પરિવારજનો માટે પીએમએનઆરએફ માંથી રૂપિયા 2 લાખ અને ભૂસ્ખલનને કારણે ઘાયલ થયેલા લોકો માટે પ્રત્યેકને 50,000 રૂપિયાની સહાય જાહેર કરી છે.

Pained by the loss of lives due to a landslide in Rajamalai, Idukki. In this hour of grief, my thoughts are with the bereaved families. May the injured recover quickly. NDRF and the administration are working on the ground, providing assistance to the affected.

Ex-gratia of Rs. 2 lakh each from PMNRF would be given to the next of kin of those who have lost their lives due to a landslide in Rajamalai, Idukki. Rs. 50,000 each would be given to those injured due to the landslide.
