Uttarakhand’s identity as Devbhoomi, the land of the gods, finds expression in a collection of 27 mementos featured in the eighth edition of the PM Mementos e-auction. These gifts presented to the Prime Minister include framed artworks, photo prints, temple models and other keepsakes. They reflect the close connection between faith, art and cultural landscape. Proceeds from the auction support the Namami Gange Programme.

Four temple models represent some of Uttarakhand’s revered places of worship. These include two models of Shri Kedarnath Dham, a model of Omkareshwar Temple at Ukhimath and a wooden model of Ganga Ji Mandir at Mukhba. Together, they reflect the importance of pilgrimage and devotion in the state’s cultural life.

A photo print brings together the four Char Dham shrines: Badrinath, Kedarnath, Gangotri and Yamunotri. A framed image of Mansa Devi in Haridwar, a view of Adi Kailash, a representation of Mahasu Devta Temple and an LED-lit glass memento featuring Kartik Swami Temple add to this sacred landscape. A print featuring Narayan Ashram and the Kumaon Himalayas captures the mountain surroundings that shape the region’s spiritual character.

Faith also finds expression through the region’s folk art. Aipan art appears on a wall clock and in an artwork depicting Maa Durga. These pieces reflect the place of religious imagery in local artistic traditions. Seven Uttarakhandi/Pahari caps add a familiar expression of the state’s regional identity.

The collection also includes a badminton racket signed by Uttarakhand’s Lakshya Sen. It represents sporting achievement within an ensemble shaped largely by the state’s religious and cultural heritage.

The model of Ganga Ji Mandir at Mukhba connects this heritage with the purpose of the PM Mementos initiative. It reflects the Ganga’s place in Uttarakhand’s spiritual life, while proceeds from the auction support the river’s rejuvenation and conservation through the Namami Gange.

The 8th edition of PM Mementos is currently live and has been extended until 31. Interested bidders can place their bids online through the official PM Mementos e-Auction portal: https://pmmementos.gov.in
