If you are 18 above and music runs in your veins, if you have the fire to shine on the global stage and if you dream of joining the league of the world's top bands and becoming a true celebrity, then WAVES brings you the ultimate platform a golden opportunity to carve your name in history.
After the phenomenal success of Battle of Bands in India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Doordarshan and WAVES has planned to launch Battle of Bands International which is all set to invite incredible musical bands from all over the world to be part of the competition which is happening in Mumbai, India.
Global Bands to compete in WAVES challenge
Registrations are going to be open soon for international bands to participate. Following a thorough scrutiny process, TOP 13 international band are going to be selected to be the part of the challenge who are going to be hosted by Indian Top 5 Bands of Battle of Bands. People from worldwide who can sing in Hindi, Bollywood, Classical and folk & who have their bands can register. The final top 5 international bands & Top 5 Indian Bands are going to get the opportunity to perform on the prestigious WAVES platform.
Top 5 bands compete for glory
Battle of Bands had talents from all over the country out of which Top 26 Bands were selected for the challenge, bands accepted the challenge given by our judges every week which has Bollywood, Originals, Classical and Folk & lyrics Change to reach till finals. Top 5 bands made their place in finals out of which the winner band was THE VAIRAGIES, 1st runner up was SUFI ROCKERS and 2nd runner up was SOULS OF SUFI X GAURANSH, the other two bands who made their place in TOP 5 were MH43 & SHIVOHAM.

The event promises to be an exciting experience for the public, as they will be exposed to a variety of musical performances that span a wide range of genres, making it an event that truly celebrates the diverse tastes of music lovers.
Battle of bands International aims to push the boundaries of creativity and music while fostering a sense of community, innovation, and growth. WAVES is set to be a leading platform for nurturing young talent and offering fresh musical experiences to audiences around the globe.
The challenge is being produced by SAREGAMA and Directed by the Veteran show Director Shruti Anindita Vermaa. Hosted by the prolific talent Kettan Singh, the challenge is Judged by Raja Hasan & Shraddha Pandit. The challenge has Indian mentors of international repute like Tonny Kakkar, Shruti Pathak, Radhika Chopra, Amitabh Vermaa and many more.

PARTICIPATION PROCESS
To participate, bands (maximum 5 members, including a vocalist) must submit an original audio-visual performance, showcasing their own music, via the official Doordarshan website. The performance must not feature any existing songs or compositions.
- Video Submission:
Bands must submit a video (max 2 minutes, 300MB, MP4 format) original piece of music that blends modern and traditional folk elements.
Upload via the official Doordarshan website under the “Waves India” section, selecting “Battle of Bands” and following the registration instructions.
- Registration
Fill out the registration form with details like Band Name, City, Contact Info, Band Members, Social Media Links and Performance Link.
- Terms:
The first valid video submitted is considered for selection.
Videos must adhere to the guidelines; non-compliance will lead to disqualification.
By submitting information, participants waive privacy rights for promotional use.

Inaugural Edition of World Audio Visual and Entertainment Summit (WAVES) is scheduled to take place from May 1 to May 4, 2025.
