ഗുരുദേവ് ടാഗോറിന്റെ ജയന്തി ദിനത്തിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി അദ്ദേഹത്തിന് ആദരാഞ്ജലികൾ അർപ്പിച്ചു.
ട്വീറ്റിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു;
"ഗുരുദേവ് ടാഗോറിന് അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ ജയന്തി ദിനത്തിൽ, എന്റെ ആദരാഞ്ജലികൾ. കല മുതൽ സംഗീതം വരെയും വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം മുതൽ സാഹിത്യം വരെയും നിരവധി മേഖലകളിൽ അദ്ദേഹം മായാത്ത മുദ്ര പതിപ്പിച്ചു. സമ്പന്നവും പുരോഗമനപരവും പ്രബുദ്ധവുമായ ഇന്ത്യയെക്കുറിച്ചുള്ള അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ കാഴ്ചപ്പാട് നിറവേറ്റുന്നതിനുള്ള നമ്മുടെ പ്രതിബദ്ധത നാം ആവർത്തിക്കുന്നു."
