പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ഫ്രീസ്റ്റൈൽ 97 കിലോഗ്രാം ഗുസ്തിയിൽ വെങ്കല മെഡൽ നേടിയതിന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ഗുസ്തി താരം ദീപക് നെഹ്‌റയ്ക്ക് ആശംസകൾ നേർന്നു.
പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ട്വീറ്റ് ചെയ്തു :
"മറ്റൊരു ഗുസ്തിതാരം , ഇന്ത്യയ്ക്ക് മറ്റൊരു പുരസ്‌കാരം! കോമണ്‍വെല്‍ത്ത് ഗെയിംസിലെ ഫ്രീസ്റ്റൈൽ ഗുസ്തിയിൽ ദീപക് നെഹ്‌റ വെങ്കല മെഡൽ നേടിയതിൽ സന്തോഷമുണ്ട്. ദീപക് ശ്രദ്ധേയമായ ധീരതയും പ്രതിബദ്ധതയും പ്രകടിപ്പിച്ചു. അദ്ദേഹത്തിന്റെ വരാനിരിക്കുന്ന ശ്രമങ്ങൾക്ക് എന്റെ ആശംസകൾ.
