His Highness Prince Rahim Aga Khan V called on the President of India, Smt. Droupadi Murmu at Rashtrapati Bhavan today (September 10, 2026).

Welcoming him on his first official visit to India since assuming the role of the Aga Khan, the President offered her condolences on the passing of his father, the late Aga Khan IV. She said that in India, we regard the Aga Khan IV and the work undertaken by the Aga Khan Development Network (AKDN) with great respect and affection.

The President appreciated the projects implemented in India by Aga Khan Development Network in areas such as water and sanitation, education, maternal health, urban redevelopment, women's empowerment, and employment generation. She said that these projects are excellent examples of public-private partnerships and demonstrate how non-profit organizations, working in partnership with the government, can improve people's quality of life.
