Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah says Punjab is today grappling with the rising threats of drugs, gangsterism and organized crime

The biggest question before the Punjab government is - who will ultimately take responsibility for the security of Punjab's people

In Dirba, a father consuming poison under pressure, and the broad daylight murder of Parvinder Singh Jhota, who had been raising his voice against drugs in Mansa, have raised serious questions about the law & order situation in Punjab

Parvinder’s father has levelled serious allegations against the Punjab government and their MLA; MHA will seek response from the state government on both these incidents

Drug trade is flourishing in Punjab, the threat of organised crime is rising, and questions are being raised about the safety of those who speak out against drugs

There should be a decisive crackdown on the drug network and an impartial probe into any political patronage being extended to criminals

Our goal is clear – crackdown against drugs, protection of our youth's future, strict action against criminals, and a fear-less Punjab

Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Shri Amit Shah has said that Punjab is today grappling with the rising threats of drugs, gangsterism, and organized crime.

Union Home Minister Shri Amit Shah in a post on X said that Punjab is today grappling with the rising threats of drugs, gangsterism, and organized crime. The biggest question before the Punjab government is - who will ultimately take responsibility for the security of Punjab's people? In Dirba, a father taking poison under pressure, and in Mansa, the broad-daylight murder of Parvinder Singh Jhota, who had raised his voice against drugs, have raised serious questions about law & order in Punjab. Parvinder's father has levelled grave allegations against the Punjab government and their MLA. The Ministry of Home Affairs will also seek responses from the Punjab government on both these incidents. In Punjab, the drug trade is flourishing, the threat of organized crime is growing, and questions are being raised about the safety of those who speak out against drugs. Mr. Chief Minister, the people of Punjab do not want publicity - they want answers; not announcements, but results; decisive crackdown against drug networks, and an impartial probe into any political patronage provided to criminals. Our goal is clear – crackdown against the drug trade, protection of our youth's future, strict action against criminals, and the rule of law in such a way that no citizen is forced to live under the shadow of fear.
