The 11th Ayurveda Day, celebrated across India and globally on September 23 under the theme “Ayurveda for a Healthier Tomorrow”, witnessed extensive public participation, with more than 22,000 activities reported through the official Ayurveda Day website.

As part of the nationwide celebrations, a total of 13,10,690 participants were registered, while 1,32,47,311 citizens extended their support for Ayurveda through the official Ayurveda Day digital platform. Over 90,000 images were also submitted documenting activities and public participation during the celebrations.

The Ayurveda Day 2026 (ayurvedaday.org.in) digital platform provided a common mechanism for citizens, institutions, communities and organisations to register their participation and report activities conducted as part of the celebrations.

States including Maharashtra, Odisha and Uttar Pradesh recorded extensive participation, with activities being organised across communities and institutions to promote awareness and understanding of Ayurveda.

The 11th Ayurveda Day also witnessed international participation, with Ayurveda Day activities reported from more than 38 countries. Countries reporting activities included the United Kingdom, United States of America, China, Japan, Finland, Afghanistan, Ghana, New Zealand, Russia, Georgia and Albania, among others. The participation underscores the expanding global outreach of Ayurveda Day and the involvement of communities and organisations across different parts of the world in activities centred on Ayurveda awareness and wellness.

The celebrations featured a wide range of activities, including Ayurveda awareness programmes, health and wellness camps, public outreach initiatives, educational programmes, medicinal plant plantation and conservation drives, Ayurveda Ahara and healthy dietary practices and citizen engagement campaigns.

The nationwide and international participation in the 11th Ayurveda Day celebrations reflects the growing scale of public engagement with Ayurveda and the collective efforts of institutions, organisations and citizens towards advancing awareness of Ayurveda for a healthier tomorrow.
