The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, New Delhi, has been awarded ‘Rajbhasha Utkrishtta Sammaan’ for the year 2025–26 by the Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs, for its outstanding work and continuous excellent performance in the implementation of the Official Language.

This Sammaan was conferred by the Hon'ble Union Home Minister, Shri Amit Shah, to Secretary, Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, Smt. Nivedita Shukla Verma, during the 6th All India Official Language Conference held at the CIDCO Exhibition Centre, Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, on the occasion of Hindi Diwas on September 14, 2026.

It is noteworthy that the Department was awarded with the Rajbhasha Kirti Puraskar (First) by the Department of Official Language for two consecutive years—2023–24 and 2024–25.

This year as well, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances, New Delhi, secured the first position for its excellent performance in the implementation of the Official Language.

According to the rules, if a Ministry/Department receives the first prize for two consecutive years, it is not awarded the Puruskar in the subsequent year.

However, the Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances has been consistently performing outstanding work in the field of the Official Language for several years. Therefore, to recognize its continuous excellence in the implementation of the official language, the Department has been awarded the special ‘Rajbhasha Utkrishtta Sammaan’.
