Hon'ble Members, today is the twenty-fourth Anniversary of Kargil Vijay Diwas. On this day in 1999, our brave soldiers with their indomitable courage and determination drove away the infiltrators from our territory in Kargil.

Let us bow our heads in gratitude for those who were martyred in the Kargil war. Also salutations to our forces and personnel who are ever prepared to make supreme sacrifice for our nation.

Displaying exemplary courage, our valiant soldiers overcame treacherous terrain and extremely hostile weather conditions and trounced the enemy. The saga of their bravery continues to inspire and motivate us every single day to be in service of the nation.

Hon’ble Members, let us remember the supreme sacrifice of our brave soldiers as we mark Kargil Vijay Diwas. This is also an occasion for us to re-dedicate ourselves to ever keep Bharat first.

On behalf of this august House and on my own, I express our heartfelt gratitude and pay glowing tributes to our soldiers. I request Members to rise in their places and observe silence as a mark of respect in the memory of our brave soldiers.

माननीय सदस्यगण, आज कारगिल विजय दिवस की चौबीसवीं वर्षगांठ है। वर्ष 1999 में आज ही के दिन हमारे वीर जवानों ने अपने अदम्य साहस और दृढ़ संकल्प से कारगिल में घुसपैठियों को हमारी सीमा से खदेड़ दिया था।

आइए हम कारगिल युद्ध में शहीद हुए लोगों के प्रति कृतज्ञतापूर्वक नमन करें, साथ ही हमारी सेनाओं और सैनिकों को भी सलाम करें जो हमारे राष्ट्र के लिए सर्वोच्च बलिदान देने के लिए हमेशा तैयार रहते हैं।

हमारे बहादुर सैनिकों ने अनुकरणीय व अपने अदम्य साहस से दुर्गम इलाकों और बेहद प्रतिकूल मौसम का सामना करते हुए दुश्मन को परास्त किया। उनकी बहादुरी की गाथा हमें हर दिन देश की सेवा के लिए प्रेरित करती रहती है।

माननीय सदस्यों, आइए कारगिल विजय दिवस मनाते हुए अपने बहादुर सैनिकों के सर्वोच्च बलिदान को याद करें।

यह हमारे लिए भारत को सर्वोपरि रखने के लिए स्वयं को पुनः समर्पित करने का भी एक अवसर है।

इस प्रतिष्ठित सदन की ओर से और अपनी ओर से मैं हार्दिक आभार व्यक्त करता हूं और हमारे सैनिकों को भावभीनी श्रद्धांजलि देता हूं।
