യുകെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയായി ചുമതലയേറ്റതിന് പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി ശ്രീ നരേന്ദ്ര മോദി ഋഷി സുനക്കുമായി സംസാരിക്കുകയും അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അഭിനന്ദിക്കുകയും ചെയ്തു.
ട്വീറ്റിൽ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രി പറഞ്ഞു;
"ഇന്ന് ഋഷി സുനാക്കിനോട് സംസാരിച്ചതിൽ സന്തോഷമുണ്ട്. യുകെ പ്രധാനമന്ത്രിയായി ചുമതലയേറ്റതിന് അദ്ദേഹത്തെ അഭിനന്ദിച്ചു. നമ്മുടെ സമഗ്രമായ തന്ത്രപരമായ പങ്കാളിത്തം കൂടുതൽ ശക്തിപ്പെടുത്തുന്നതിന് ഞങ്ങൾ ഒരുമിച്ച് പ്രവർത്തിക്കും. സമഗ്രവും സന്തുലിതവുമായ സ്വതന്ത്ര വ്യാപാര കരാറിൽ എത്രയും വേഗം എത്തിച്ചേരേണ്ടതിന്റെ പ്രാധാന്യവും ഞങ്ങൾ അംഗീകരിച്ചു."
