Kerala:Train services, which were stopped in the state due to the raging Covid infections in the second wave of the pandemic, will resume in phases and as part of that, Intercity and Jan Shatabdi trains will start plying from tomorrow. Meanwhile, the State is to revise its lockdown strategy after the current lockdown ends tomorrow. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has stated that the state is unlikely to extend the complete lockdown amid the sharp decline in the number of Covid-19 cases. The state has reported a 20 per cent decline in cases and a 10% decrease in TPR during the last week.  It is planned to impose different levels of curbs according to the intensity of the spread of the disease. 7,719 new Covid-19 cases were reported in the state yesterday with a TPR of 11.26%. 161 deaths were confirmed taking the toll to 11,342. A total of 1,14,69,060  people have so far been vaccinated in the state. Out of this, 91,87,161 took first dose and 22,81,899 took second dose.

 

Tamil Nadu:The Madras High court today sought responses from both the Union and State within four weeks on a plea seeking ex-gratia payment to heirs or families of persons who died after contracting Covid-19 as per section 12 of the Disaster Management Act, 2005. Chief Minister M K Stalin has said lockdown relaxations will be withdrawn if people violate rules; he sought complete cooperation of people. TN reported 12,772 new cases including 254 deaths on Monday; with these, the total number of cases recorded has reached 23,66,493 and death toll 29,801 in the State. The Union territory of Puducherry reported less than 400 fresh Covid-19 cases for the first time after two months; the UT reported 309 fresh cases even as 686 patients recovered on Monday, bringing down the active cases to 4,947. Tamilnadu State health department has said that a total of 2,58,701 people were vaccinated on a single day yesterday at 2,327 vaccination centres. Till date 1,11,31,780 have been vaccinated across the State, of which 89,64,448 received first dose and 21,67,332 received second dose.

 

Karnataka:As per the State Government bulletin released for 14-06-2021, New Cases Reported: 6,835; Total Active Cases: 1,72,141; New Covid Deaths: 120; Total Covid Deaths: 33,033. Around 1,23,262 were vaccinated yesterday with a total of 1,71,14,728 have been vaccinated in the state till now. Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa on Monday announced a compensation of Rs 1 lakh to BPL families who lose breadwinners to Covid-19. Coronavirus cases in the state have dropped to nearly six thousand and the positivity rate has fallen below 5 per cent.  The Bruhat Bengaluru MahanagaraPalike (BBMP) on Monday said that it will deploy teams at entry points, paying guest facilities, migrants’ work sites among others to test returnees for Covid-19 infection as the civic body looks to keep the virus spread under control.

 

Andhra Pradesh: State reported 4549 new Covid-19 cases after testing 87,756 samples with 59 deaths, while 10,114 got discharged during the last 24 hours. A total of 1,23,04,416 doses of Covid vaccines have been administered in the state as on yesterday, which include 96,68,857 first doses and 26,35,559 second doses.  The State government has decided to include treatment of post-Covid health problems related to lungs and kidneys among children in the YSR Aarogyasri Scheme. The State has also chalked out a plan to increase ICU beds to 1600 and oxygen beds to 3777 for children. Principal Secretary (Health) Anil Kumar Singhal has said Covid medicines for treating children have been brought under the purview of Arogyasree and have been divided into four therapies. So far, more than 3.16 lakh mothers having children below the age of five years have been vaccinated in the state.

 

Telangana:A total of 1511 new daily Covid cases and 12 deaths were reported yesterday taking the total number of cases in the state to 6,04,880 and fatalities to 3496. Bed occupancy rate in Covid hospitals in the state has come down from 52 percent in the second week of May to 16 percent now. Now, the positivity rate is reported to be 1.36 percent only. Director of State Public Health Dr.G.Srinivasa Rao said strict action will be taken against those spreading rumours and creating unnecessary panic among the public about the intensity of the likely third wave of Corona.

 

Maharashtra: Maharashtra on Monday reported 8,129 new COVID-19 cases, the lowest single-day count since March 2, taking the state’s tally to 59,17,121, while 200 more deaths pushed the toll to 1,12,696, the health department said. The rise in fresh coronavirus cases was the lowest since March 2, when 7,863 infections were reported in the state.Mumbai reported 529 cases, the lowest since February 16 when the addition to the tally was 461.Maharashtra government has expressed an inclination to begin door-to-door vaccination drives for the disabled, bedridden, and such citizens, and for formulating a separate protocol for the same.

Gujarat: Gujarat on Monday reported 405 COVID-19 cases, taking its tally to 8,20,726, while the day also witnessed six deaths, which took the toll past the 10000 mark.
2,93,131 persons were vaccinated on Monday, including 2,05,130 in the 18-44 age group, taking the overall number of doses administered in the state so far to 2,05,58,024. In an affidavit filed by the Gujarat health department before the High Court, the health department has conveyed that the Gujarat government has notified 33 government hospitals — one in each district — to act as the nodal centre for distribution of Liposomal Amphotericin-B used to treat mucormycosis. In each of these 33 hospitals, a district-level committee is to be constituted for distribution of the drug.

Rajasthan: The number of new active coronavirus cases in Rajasthan continued to nosedive on Monday with zero cases reported in eight out of total 33 districts of the state in the last 24 hours.Following a steady decline over the last few days, the total number of active Covid19 cases in the state has dropped below 6,500. Rajasthan on Monday reported 277 fresh Covid-19 cases and 20 deaths. The state's death toll is at 8,842, with a total caseload of 9,49,961.

Madhya Pradesh: In Madhya Pradesh, the second wave of Coronavirus infection has come under control. Yesterday, the infection rate in the state was recorded at 0.3 per cent.
According to the official health bulletin yesterday, 242 new cases of COVID-19 were reported in Madhya Pradesh, while 516 people recovered. In all the districts except Indore, Bhopal and Jabalpur, the number of new patients was either zero or below ten. Meanwhile, in the state, attention has now been focused on vaccination.A major vaccination campaign will be run in the state for three days from July 1.

Chhattisgarh:  Amidst the rapidly improving situation of corona infection in Chhattisgarh, the average positivity rate has come down to about 1.3 percent. While the recovery rate from COVID infection has increased to more than 97 percent. 600 New corona positives in the state yesterday.Out of the 28 districts, in 25 districts cases were reported in double digits. While in 3 districts, cases were reported in single digit. Meanwhile, 17 people died due to CoVID infection yesterday.

Goa: Goa's coronavirus caseload went up by 253 and reached 1,62,721 on Monday, while 720 patients recovered from the infection. The death toll rose to 2,937 as nine more patients succumbed to the infection. The number of recovered cases in the state rose to 1,55,378 after 720 patients were discharged from hospitals during the day. The number of active cases is now 4,406.

Assam: A total of 43 COVID-19 deaths were reported in Assam in the last 24 hours, while 3,678 new infections were detected in 1,46,046 tests done during the day, the positivity rate being 2.52 percent, Kamrup Metro saw 232 new cases.Challenging the Assam government's move to conduct board examinations, a number of students from the state have moved the Supreme Court seeking it's intervention in cancelling the HSLC and HS Final examinations in view of the Covid situation.

Manipur:In Manipur, the death count continues to rise with 16 more falling to COVID-19 while 459 including 7 Central security personnel tested positive during the last 24 hours.In line with the course of action take up in other districts of the State and in view of the surging COVID-19 cases, Ukhrul District Hospital in tandem with the district administration started a mass testing campaign since yesterday and in the last 48 hours, 39 persons returned positive results.

Meghalaya: Meghalaya registered 403 fresh COVID-19 cases on Monday, an increase from the previous day, while 487 recoveries on the day brought the total active cases down to 4,529.
The state also recorded 10 fatalities in the last 24 hours pushing the death toll to 743. East Khasi Hills Deputy Commissioner, IsawandaLaloo has issued an order directing shops and establishments to get their staff vaccinated on or before June 24 so as to be eligible for reopening.Chief Minister, Conrad K Sangma has urged the MLAs and media personnel to visit a Covid-19 ward wearing PPE kit to be able to understand the difficulties being faced by the healthcare workers.

Nagaland: Nagaland reports 109 new COVID-19 cases and three deaths on Monday. Active cases are 3201 while total is 23,753. State H&FW Dept has directed all healthcare workers to discharge their duties responsibly and not to leave station without permit. It has also asked the healthcare workers to immediately report any harassment or obstruction while on duty.

Tripura: In Tripura, 18,980 people above 18-45 years vaccinated on a single day in whole of the state. 235 fresh cases reported with 4 deaths. Tripura Board of Joint Entrance Examination in a Notification said the examination scheduled on June 23 has been deferred.

Sikkim: There was no death on record from 11th June till today, the total death figure so far remains 281. Only 36 new positive cases have come up. State has 11.5% positivity rate of
Corona. The recovery rate is only 79.20%. As per the State Government's directive to cover one and all with regards to COVID-19 Vaccination, the Medical Team from Namchi District Hospital vaccinated a total of 100 inmates, who belonged to 18 to 44 categories at District Prison Namchi.

Punjab: The total number of patients tested Positive is 588525. Number of active cases is 11913. Total Deaths reported is 15602. Total COVID-19 Vaccinated with 1st dose (Healthcare + Frontline Workers) is 1257302. Total COVID-19 Vaccinated with 2nd dose (Healthcare + Frontline Workers) is 316532. Total above 45 Vaccinated with 1st dose is 3110366. Total above 45 Vaccinated with 2nd dose is 506885.

 

Haryana: Total Number of Samples found positive till date is 766129. Total active COVID-19 patients is4077. Number of deaths is 9032. Cumulative number of people vaccinated till date is 6608145.

 

Chandigarh: Total Lab confirmed COVID-19 cases is 61160. Total number of Active Cases is  507. Total number of COVID-19 deaths till date is  794.

 

Himachal Pradesh: Total number of patients tested Covid positive till date is 198876. Total number of Active Cases is 4432. Total deaths reported till date is 3382.
