Mera Yuva Bharat (MY Bharat) (mybharat.gov.in/), the national youth engagement platform of the Department of Youth Affairs, Ministry of Youth Affairs & Sports, has crossed the landmark milestone of 3 crore + registered youth. The achievement marks a significant expansion of India's largest youth engagement ecosystem, providing young people with opportunities to participate in experiential learning, volunteering, leadership, civic engagement and youth-led initiatives.

Launched by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi on 31 October 2023, MY Bharat was established with the vision of creating a technology-enabled platform through which young Indians can participate in the nation's development journey. At the launch, the Prime Minister emphasised the importance of bringing the country's youth together on a common platform and enabling their greater participation in nation-building. The platform was conceived as an important institutional mechanism for translating the energy, aspirations and potential of India's youth into meaningful participation towards Viksit Bharat @2047.
The journey of MY Bharat has witnessed rapid expansion since its launch. The platform crossed 2 crore + registrations in October 2025 and subsequently expanded its reach to more than 2.46 crore + registered youth by August 2026. The crossing of the 3 crore + mark within the next phase of its expansion reflects the continuing growth of youth participation on the platform.
MY Bharat today serves as a common digital gateway through which young people can discover and participate in Experiential Learning Programmes, volunteering opportunities, quizzes, leadership initiatives, youth dialogues and community engagement activities. As of August 2026, more than 1.22 lakh youth had enrolled in nearly 25,000 Experiential Learning Programmes, providing opportunities for young people to gain practical exposure through participation beyond conventional classroom settings.
The platform has also continued to evolve technologically. An AI-enabled CV Builder has been introduced to help young people create professional profiles, while the platform is being strengthened through digital services and wider grassroots access..
A key initiative being driven through MY Bharat is the Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue (VBYLD) 2027, which is providing young Indians with multiple pathways to showcase their ideas, creativity, leadership and innovation towards the vision of Viksit Bharat @2047. The initiative began with the Viksit Bharat Quiz on 17 August 2026, which is open until 30 September 2026 on the MY Bharat platform. Under the flagship Viksit Bharat Challenge, participants progress through the Essay Challenge, District Championships and State/UT-level stages before culminating in the National Viksit Bharat Young Leaders Dialogue in New Delhi from 10–12 January 2027. Alongside this, VBYLD 2027 features five additional tracks—Cultural Track, Design for Bharat, Hack for Social Cause, Youth Entrepreneurs Challenge and Youth Parliament—providing platforms for young people to demonstrate their cultural talent, creative and design thinking, technology-led solutions, entrepreneurial ideas and leadership in parliamentary processes. Selected young participants across these tracks will get an opportunity to engage with policymakers and, at the national level, present their ideas before the Prime Minister.
The current MY Bharat ecosystem also hosts a range of youth-focused initiatives, including Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat, Viksit Vibrant Village Programme, Viksit Bharat Youth Parliament, Viksit Bharat Padyatra, Viksit Bharat Yuva Connect and Khelo India Dialogue, alongside Experiential Learning and volunteering opportunities.
Through the Nasha Mukt Yuva for Viksit Bharat campaign, MY Bharat is also contributing to the nationwide effort to mobilise young people for a healthier and drug-free India. The 100 Weeks Nasha Mukt Yuva Abhiyan commenced with the Rashtriya Sankalp Samaroh in September 2026, with youth participation through pledge-taking, signature campaigns, creative activities and discussions across the country.
The 3 crore + milestone therefore represents more than an increase in registrations. It reflects the expanding scale of a national platform through which young Indians can learn through experience, participate in community initiatives, develop leadership capabilities and contribute their ideas to the country's development journey.
As MY Bharat continues to expand its digital and grassroots ecosystem, the platform remains focused on strengthening Yuva Shakti, Jan Bhagidari and youth-led nation-building, in keeping with the vision of empowering India's young population to contribute meaningfully towards a Viksit Bharat @2047.
