As part of Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2026, a Preventive Health Check-up and Consultation Camp was organised today for the Officers/Officials and Safai Mitras (Housekeeping Staff) of the Press Information Bureau (PIB), Delhi, at the National Media Centre, New Delhi.

The health camp was organised in association with Dr. Ram Manohar Lohia (RML) Hospital, New Delhi. A team of doctors from RML Hospital provided health check-up and medical consultation to the Officers/Officials and Safai Mitras attending the camp.

The initiative aimed at promoting preventive healthcare and general well-being among the personnel of PIB, with special focus on the health and welfare of Safai Mitras. The participants were provided an opportunity to undergo health assessment and seek medical advice from the medical team.

The health camp forms part of the activities being undertaken under the ‘SafaiMitra Suraksha Evam Samman Shivirs’ component of Swachhata Hi Seva 2026, which emphasises the welfare and well-being of sanitation workers through preventive health check-ups and other support measures.

Swachhata Hi Seva 2026 is being jointly organised by the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) and the Department of Drinking Water and Sanitation (DDWS), Ministry of Jal Shakti. The campaign seeks to strengthen collective participation and volunteerism towards cleanliness and reinforce the spirit of a Swachh Bharat.

The organisation of the preventive health check-up camp at the National Media Centre reflects PIB’s commitment towards promoting a clean, healthy and supportive workplace and ensuring the well-being and dignity of Safai Mitras who contribute significantly to maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the workplace.
