Maharashtra: Maharashtra government has launched the "Mission Oxygen Self-Reliance" scheme to meet the state's oxygen needs. Special incentives will be given to oxygen producing industries under this scheme.At present the state's oxygen generation capacity is 1300 MT per day. In order to meet the increasing demand, state government has declared some incentives to meet the target of producing 3000 MT of oxygen per day. Only those applying before June 30 will get the benefits of this policy.
Gujarat: Chief Minister Vijay Rupani, after discussions with cabinet members and academics, has announced merit-based progress in the government, non-government and aided universities and colleges in the state to the nine and a half million students of the current academic session. Students of medical and para-medical students will not get the benefit. Number of corona patients in the 1200 bed Civil Covid Hospital in Ahmedabad has come down by 50 %. The number of active cases in the state is 84,421. So far 9469 have lost their lives. So far 7,80,471 people have been infected with Corona in Gujarat, out of which 6,86,581 have recovered.
Rajasthan: Two days after declaring mucormycosis an epidemic, the health department on Friday capped admission and treatment charges for patients suffering from the disease at private hospitals. Disease will also be covered under the Chiranjeevi Yojna insurance scheme for free treatment. NABH accredited hospitals can charge patients with moderate sickness Rs 5,500 per day for being kept in isolation bed with oxygen, Rs 8,250 for patients with severe sickness who will use ICU beds without ventilators and Rs 9,900 for patients with very severe sickness who will use ICU beds with ventilators.
Dip in daily infections continued on Friday as the state witnessed 6,225 Covid-19 cases.
Madhya Pradesh: 'Black Fungus' has been declared as an epidemic in Madhya Pradesh. State Health Commissioner Akash Tripathy said that there are 610 cases of Black Fungus in the state, and 36,000 vials of injection Amphotericine-B are required for their treatment. 190 of these patients are in Bhopal hospitals.There will be strict lockdown In Indore as well as Bhopal for the next 10 days. State government has ruled out any concession in lockdown till 31st May.There were 4384 Corona infection cases in the state yesterday. Infection rate in the state has gone down to below 5%, however the death rate continues to be high. In rural areas the positivity rate is 3% where positivity in urban areas is at 4%. Not a single patient died in 27 districts of the state on Friday. At present, there are 67,625 active patients in the state. Of these, about 65% is in home isolation.
Chhattisgarh: State's average positivity rate has now reached 8%.
State Government in association with NGOs and social organizations is disseminating valuable information on prevention of corona infection and also motivate people on Covid vaccination. In Bhilai, women self-help groups under the National Livelihood Mission are playing an important role in the vaccination of people. In Rajnandgaon district, teams have been formed comprising Kotvaar, Village Patel, Panchayat Secretary, Anganwadi workers and teachers as well as other local people at polling station level to get control of corona infection. These teams are motivating villagers for vaccination as well as Covid Appropriate behavior. All Tibetan refugees residing in Mainpat, popularly known as Shimla of Chhattisgarh, have got the Covid vaccine.
Goa:To treat black fungus cases, State Health Minister Vishwajit Rane announced a dedicated 20 bedded ward at Goa Medical College. The facility is to be ramped up with a 60 bedded Pediatric ICU & a full-fledged MICU. Expert Committee has been constituted to manage the anticipated 3rd wave of Covid-19. It will include Dr. Jagdish Cacodkar as Secretary, Dr. Shivanand Bandekar as Chairman, Dr. Jose D’Sa as Vice Chairman & five other members.
Punjab: The total number of patients tested Positive is 528676. Number of active cases is 63470. Total Deaths reported is 12888. Total COVID-19 Vaccinated with 1st dose (Healthcare + Frontline Workers) is 848290. Total COVID-19 Vaccinated with 2nd dose (Healthcare + Frontline Workers) is 243458. Total above 45 Vaccinated with 1st dose is 2668693. Total above 45 Vaccinated with 2nd dose is 442469.
Haryana: Total Number of Samples found positive till date is 728607. Total active COVID-19 patients are 54397. Number of deaths is 7317. Cumulative number of people vaccinated till date is 5202934.
Chandigarh: Total Lab confirmed COVID-19 cases are 57737. Total number of Active Cases is 5675. Total number of COVID-19 deaths till date is 680.
Himachal Pradesh: Total number of patients tested COVID positive till date is 175384. Total number of Active Cases is 31519. Total deaths reported till date is 2638.
