The ‘Designer Atelier’ Exhibition-cum-Sale, showcasing designer creations that bring together India’s rich textile heritage, traditional craftsmanship and contemporary design, is being held from September 12 to October 1, 2026, at the Central Cottage Industries Emporium, Jawahar Vyapar Bhawan, Janpath, New Delhi. The exhibition will remain open from 10:00 AM to 7:00 PM.

The exhibition was jointly inaugurated today by Shri Akhilesh Kumar, DDG (Textiles), Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and Chairman, Central Cottage Industries Corporation (CCIC), and Shri Bimal Gopalachari, Managing Director, CCIC, in the presence of senior officials and other dignitaries.

The ‘Designer Atelier’ aims to promote India’s rich textile heritage and encourage the use of authentic handloom and handwoven products representing the diverse craft traditions and cultural ethos of the country. It also provides artisans and weavers with a wider platform to showcase their creations and connect directly with consumers.

The exhibition brings together traditional techniques, indigenous craftsmanship and contemporary design, showcasing intricate handloom weaves, traditional prints, modern silhouettes and designer collections. It offers a diverse range of creations for both traditional and contemporary fashion enthusiasts.

With the festive and upcoming wedding season, the exhibition provides an opportunity for visitors to explore distinctive Indian textiles and handcrafted fashion, while supporting the country’s weavers, artisans and craft communities.
