The Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment is implementing following schemes:-
Post Matric Scholarships (PMS) for SC Students
Pre Matric Scholarships (PMS) for SC Students & Others
PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for vibrant India, PM – YASASVI (Pre-Matric Scholarship for OBC/ EBC/DNT) Scheme
PM Young Achievers Scholarship Award Scheme for vibrant India, PM–YASASVI (Post Matric Scholarship for OBC/EBC/DNT) Scheme
Pre and Post Matric Scholarships (PMS) for Students with Disabilities component of Umbrella Scheme titled ‘Scholarships for Students with Disabilities (Divyangjan) .
Under Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for SC and others, funds were so far released to the State Governments who invited and processed their applications as per the eligibility criteria under the said scheme. Thus, data related to gender-wise number of applications and releases, rejections etc. is not available with the Department. However, since 2021-22, under PMS-SC scheme, DBT payments of the Central share are directly done by the Department to the beneficiaries after
receiving the verified data from the State Government on the Central Portal. As per information available on the Central portal, the number of SC students, gender-wise, who applied and received scholarships under PMS-SC for the last year (2021-22) so far is as follows:

The details of rejected scholarship is not maintained on National Scholarship Portal .
Since 2021-22, under PMS-SC, a composite scholarship is paid in only three components i.e.
(i) Non-refundable tuition fees
(ii) Academic Allowance
(iii) Disability allowance
Similarly, under Pre-Matric Scholarships Scheme for SC & others, a composite scholarship is paid in only two components i.e.
(i) Academic Allowance
(ii) Disability allowance
