Progress and preparation for Special Campaign 6.0 by Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation

The Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters is being organized annually since 2021. To sustain the momentum, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) along with its attached, subordinate offices and Autonomous Body recorded significant achievements under the Special Campaign for Disposal of Pending Matters (SCDPM) during November 2025 – August 2026 monitored monthly through SCDPM portal: The campaign resulted in :
- Review of 5617 files (both physical and e- files)
- Weeding of 467 physical files
- Closure of 4680 e-files
- Conduct of 61 cleanliness campaigns across the country
- Disposal of Public Grievances :426
- Disposal of Public Grievances Appeals : 65
- Revenue generated by scrap disposal: Rs 34,105/-
- In addition, substantial focus was laid on the disposal of PMO references, Parliamentary assurances and State Government references.
The Government of India has launched Special Campaign 6.0 from 2nd to 31st October 2026. The campaign will focus on “Effective collection, segregation and disposal of e-waste” across field offices. The campaign is being organized in two phases: the Preparatory Phase (15th – 30th September 2026) and the Implementation Phase (2nd – 31st October 2026) which emphasize on institutionalizing Swachhata and minimizing pendency in offices involving identification of pending references from the PMO, VIPs, State Governments and Parliament, assess the volume of redundant materials to be disposed and finalize the procedures for their disposal, identification of effective collection and segregation of e-waste as per guidelines of MoEFCC for target setting for the forthcoming implementation phase, along with strengthening record and space management practices.
Building on the achievements of previous years, the Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation (MoSPI) along with its attached office, subordinate offices including field offices and autonomous body, is fully geared up to roll out the Special Campaign 6.0 and committed to actively participate in Special Campaign 6.0.
