As part of the BRICS Youth Council Meeting and Youth Summit being hosted under India’s BRICS Chairship 2026, the second day of the programme provided youth delegates from BRICS countries an opportunity to experience India’s cultural heritage and landmark achievements through a visit to Kevadia, Gujarat.

The day commenced with the transfer of officials of the BRICS Youth Council and youth delegates of the BRICS Youth Summit from Gandhinagar to Kevadia. The delegates visited the Statue of Unity, one of India’s prominent national landmarks, as part of the local excursion programme. The visit provided the participating youth with an opportunity to experience the significance of the monument and the surrounding Ekta Nagar development.
The visit to the Statue of Unity also offered the delegates an opportunity to engage with India’s vision of unity, national integration and sustainable development, while experiencing the rich cultural and developmental landscape of Gujarat.
The BRICS Youth Council Meeting and Youth Summit were held in Gandhinagar on August 19–20, 2026, under India’s BRICS Chairship. India’s BRICS Chairship is guided by the theme “Building for Resilience, Innovation, Cooperation and Sustainability.” The BRICS Youth Council serves as an important platform for young people from BRICS countries to deliberate on shared priorities and strengthen youth-to-youth cooperation.
