PM-DASKH Scheme is a Central Sector Scheme under which skill training is provided to SCs, OBCs, EWSs, DNTs, Safai Karamcharis, including Waste Pickers through empanelled training institutes. Since PM-DAKSH Scheme is a Central Sector Scheme, States have no role in its implementation. As such funds under this scheme are not allocated and disbursed State-wise. The total number of beneficiaries that have received skill development training under the PM-DAKSH Scheme since inception of the scheme, year wise and State-wise is as given below:

The training under PM-DAKSH Scheme is provided by empanelled training institutes, which can impart training in any of the job roles available on SIDH Portal of Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship keeping in view demand of the specific job roles among the target groups in the region.

The training programmes are facilitated under PM-DAKSH Scheme with the focus on providing wage and self-employment to the target group. Once the training programmes are completed, assessment and certification of trainees are conducted and the certified trainees are provided with placement opportunities either in wage employment or self-employment.

In order to promote PM-DAKSH Scheme among the target group, advertisement is issued through print media and social media on pan India basis. The Training Institutes also spread awareness amongst the target group by organizing awareness camps, reaching out to the cluster / communities and spreading awareness about the scheme.
