Grievances resolved in CPGRAMS along with notable success stories


26,106 public grievances redressed by States/UTs from 1st to 12th August, 2024

The Department of Administrative Reforms and Public Grievances (DARPG) released a list of grievances redressed between 1st and 12th August, 2024. According to the same, 26,106 grievances were redressed by States/UTs.

The Top 5 States/UTs for grievance redressal for the period from 1st to 12th August, 2024 are as follows:

The following 4 success stories in effective grievance redressal are presented:

  1. Grievance of Shri Santosh – Non-receipts of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana Instalments

Shri Santosh had not received the last 16 & 17 installments of PMKISAN Yojana, despite having completed all the necessary document verification such as land seeding status, Aadhaar bank account seeding, and e-KYC. He requests immediate resolution and confirmation of the disbursal of these pending installments through DBT to his bank account. As per the resolution provided by the Government of Rajasthan, all payments were processed and no installments are pending as per the records.

  1. Grievance of Shri Pawan Kumar Rai – Request for name change in electricity connection

Shri Pawan applied to transfer three electricity connections to their name following their father’s death in March, 2024. Despite assurances from the Executive Engineer, the process was delayed for 4 months, due to alleged outstanding bills, which were disputed. Shri Pawan paid all the bills and requested intervention from the concerned authorities. Following the delays from the concerned authorities, Shri Pawan filed a grievance on the CPGRAMS portal for resolution. The grievance was examined at the local level and the Executive Engineer has now confirmed that the name change for all three connections has been completed. The resolution was done within 13 days of filing the grievance.

  1. Grievance of Shri Madan Mohan Batra – Incorrect water bill against zero consumption

Shri Madan, a retired professor and a super senior citizen, is staying with his son at a different address due to their wife's treatment, resulting in zero water consumption at their registered address with the Delhi Jal Board. Despite this, they received an erroneous bill amounting Rs 190. Shri Madan requests correction of the bill to reflect zero consumption and reversal of the amount. As per the resolution provided by the Delhi Jal Board, the water bill was corrected amounting to zero for zero consumption.

  1. Grievance of Vandana Kumari – Delay in scholarship payment

Vandana Kumari applied for the Mukhyamantri Vidhyarthi Pratibha Yojana scholarship for the academic year 2023-24 on 31st December, 2023. Other students in her class received their scholarships by 31st March, 2024, but even after 6 months of approval of documents, she did not receive the scholarship amount. In July, 2024, she filed a grievance with the CPGRAMS portal, and as per the resolution received, it was reported that Rs. 10,000 was released to her Aadhar-seeded bank account under the scheme, and the grievance was resolved within 21 days of filing the grievance.
