The Vice President, Shri M. Venkaiah Naidu has greeted the nation on the eve of Dussehra. Following is the full text of his message –

“I extend my warm greetings and good wishes to the people of our country on the auspicious occasion of Dussehra.

Celebrated with traditional fervor and zeal across the country, Dussehra symbolizes the victory of ‘Good’ over ‘Evil’. The festival reminds us of the pious, virtuous and noble life led by Lord Rama and guides us towards the path of righteousness shown by him.

Dussehra is an occasion to remind us that we need to constantly quell the demonic forces and foster goodness and harmony. May this festival bring peace, harmony and prosperity in our country.”

Following is the full text of HVPI’s Hindi message -

“दशहरे के पावन अवसर पर मैं अपने सभी देशवासियों को हार्दिक बधाई और शुभकामनाएं देता हूँ।

देश भर में पारंपरिक उल्लास और उत्साह के साथ मनाया जाने वाला दशहरे का पर्व ‘बुराई’ पर ‘अच्छाई’ की जीत का प्रतीक है। यह पर्व हमें भगवान श्रीराम के पवित्र, सदाचारी और नेक जीवन की याद दिलाता है और उनके द्वारा दिखाए गए नेकी के मार्ग को अपनाने हेतु हमारा मार्गदर्शन करता है।

दशहरा हमें यह याद दिलाने का अवसर है कि हमें लगातार आसुरी शक्तियों का दमन करने और अच्छाई तथा सद्भाव को बढ़ावा देने की जरूरत है। मेरी यह कामना है कि यह पर्व देश में शांति, समरसता और समृद्धि लेकर आए।”
