The Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, under the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, is expanding its collaboration with spiritual organisations under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyaan (NMBA), advancing the shared vision of building a drug-free India.

Recognizing the vital role of spiritual organisations in guiding communities, instilling discipline and promoting value-based living, the Department has partnered with leading spiritual institutions to strengthen outreach and awareness against substance abuse.

In continuation of this initiative, the Department will sign MoUs with Adhyatm Vigyan Satsang Kendra, Chinmaya Mission, Divya Jyoti Jagrati Sansthan and Hare Krishna Movement.  The signing ceremony will be held at the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment in the National Capital here tomorrow Wednesday, in the presence of Shri Sudhansh Pant, Secretary, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, senior officials of the Department and revered spiritual gurus.

Earlier, Memoranda of Understanding were signed with The Art of Living, Brahma Kumaris, Sant Nirankari Mission, ISKCON, Shri Ram Chandra Mission, All World Gayatri Pariwar, Sivananda Yoga Vedanta Dhanwantari Ashram and the University of Patanjali.

These partnerships have supported mass-awareness programmes, volunteer mobilisation and the integration of yoga, meditation and spiritual counselling into de-addiction efforts.
