Swachhata Hi Seva - 2024 goes Digital on iGOT Karmayogi for e-Learning

As part of the ongoing Swachhata Hi Seva 2024 campaign, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA) launched an e-learning training module the Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2024 on the iGOT Karmayogi platform on 30th Sept., 2024. This course is a vital step in equipping State and UT officials, ULB representatives, SafaiMitras and citizens with the knowledge and skills needed to enhance cleanliness initiatives throughout the country. Hon'ble Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar unveiled the training module on Swachhata Hi Seva -2024 Swabhav Swachhata – Sanskar Swachhata in the presence of Chairperson, Secretary & CEO and other members of Capacity Building Commission, iGOT Karmayogi Bharat and MoHUA officials.
Launching the training module, Housing and Urban Affairs Minister, Shri Manohar Lal Khattar said,” This is an attempt to unleash a platform to encourage social behaviour change for Swachhata and foster capacity building, ultimately driving community-led initiatives for Swachh Bharat.”
MoHUA rolled out the e-module to nudge capacity building on social behaviour change campaigns. Hosted on the iGOT platform at igotkarmayogi.gov.in this interactive course provides easy access to a variety of modules and activities, making it simple and effective. Upon completing this course, participants will be better equipped to promote effective waste management and public hygiene, spearhead community-driven cleanliness campaigns, and integrate cleanliness as a fundamental aspect of daily life. Under the Awareness training on Swachhata Hi Seva – 2024, the participants can (i) Enroll in the course (ii) Select and play the module (iii) Successfully complete module (iv) Receive a certificate once assessment is over. The certificates are downloadable.
Launched during a dynamic fortnight of extensive ground action, this initiative is mobilizing millions of citizens for large-scale cleanliness drives aimed at transforming Cleanliness Target Units (CTUs). It promotes "Swachhata Mein Jan Bhaagidari" through various initiatives, including Swachh Food Streets, the "Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam" campaign, SBM Cultural Fests, Waste to Art installations, and SafaiMitra Suraksha Shivir. Across the nation, over 25 lakh initiatives are being held during the fortnight of SHS 2024, engaging more than 14 Crore citizens.
