Bharat Ke Veer portal was launched on April 9, 2017, and Bharat Ke Veer Trust was established on July 23, 2018.

Through the Bharat Ke Veer portal financial assistance of Rs. 15 lakh in addition to other financial entitlements has been provided to Next of Kin (NoKs) of martyrs from January 1, 2016, to October 9, 2023. Since, October 10, 2023, the financial assistance for NoKs of martyrs has been increased  to  Rs. 25  lakh.  The Bharat   Ke   Veer    Trust     ensures    that    NoK    of martyrs get minimum of Rs.01 Crore from all entitlements.

   Parents of married martyrs have been receiving financial assistance of Rs. 10 lakh from Bharat Ke Veer since May 1, 2020.

    386 dependents of martyrs have been provided beneficial assistance from Bharat Ke Veer so far.    

    This was stated by the Minister of State for Home Affairs, Shri Nityanand Rai in a written reply to a question in the Rajya Sabha.
