Coir Board organized a National Webinar on ‘Coconut to Coir Technologies’ today, on the World Coconut Day. It was inaugurated by Shri D. Kuppuramu, Chairman, Coir Board.  Shri M.Kumararaja, Secretary, Coir Board delivered the keynote address.                                               

Joint Secretary (ARI), Ministry of MSME Smt. Alka Nangia Arora in her presidential address emphasizedupon the need of giving importance to the publicity and supply chain management of the coir products. She said, suchwebinars are a good medium for the coir board to disseminate information about the products and technologies available in coconut and coir industries, which could attract new entrepreneurs to these fields.

The webinar was attended by 347 participants from all over the Country.Experts in various fields presented papers, opening prospects of coconut and coir technologies.

It was organised as part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, commemorating the 75th Anniversary of its Independence .
