The Public Health (Urban) Division of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs (MoHUA), in association with the Indian Red Cross Society, successfully organized a Voluntary Blood Donation Camp at its premises at Sankalp Bhawan, New Delhi today (29.09.2026), reaffirming its commitment to social responsibility and community welfare.

The blood donation camp was inaugurated by Shri Tokhan Sahu, Hon’ble Minister of State for Housing and Urban Affairs. The camp was organized with the dedicated efforts of Shri Ranjit Kumar Tiwary, Additional Director General (Urban Health Services), MoHUA, who lauded the enthusiastic participation of the donors and emphasized that voluntary blood donation is a noble act capable of saving countless lives and he also appreciated the profound spirit of service displayed by the participants. Appreciating the spirit of service displayed by the participants, Hon’ble MoS encouraged everyone to continue supporting such humanitarian initiatives.

 

The Blood Donation Camp received an encouraging response from the officers and staff of the Ministry. Driven by the theme "One Drop of Humanity. Give Blood. Save Lives," a total of 76 officers and staff members voluntarily participated in the blood donation drive, contributing to the overall success of the event.

The Ministry expresses its sincere gratitude to all the voluntary donors, the organizing team and the supporting medical staff from the Indian Red Cross Society for their valuable contribution in making the health and wellness event a success.
