Aligned with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a cleaner, more efficient, and responsive government, the Ministry of Labour & Employment is undertaking focused measures to institutionalize Swachhata (cleanliness) and reduce administrative pendency across the Ministry, its autonomous bodies, and field formations.

 

Key Achievements: December 2025 – August 2026

 

• 416 Physical Files Weeded Out: A comprehensive exercise to identify and remove outdated and redundant physical files has helped declutter offices, improve record management, and enhance administrative efficiency.
• 100% Adoption of e-Office: The Ministry has achieved complete implementation of the e-Office platform, enabling paperless workflows while strengthening transparency, productivity, and ease of administration.
• 98% of Public Grievances Resolved: Of the 2,18,472 public grievances received, 2,13,805 have been successfully addressed, reflecting the Ministry’s continued commitment to timely and citizen-centric service delivery.
• 98% of Grievance Appeals Disposed: Out of 48,828 grievance appeals received, 47,850 have been resolved, reaffirming the Ministry’s focus on responsive and accountable governance.
• 1,000+ Cleanliness Drives Conducted: Swachhata campaigns have been undertaken at more than 1,000 sites, highlighting the Ministry’s sustained efforts to create clean, hygienic, and well-organized workplaces.

 

Looking Ahead: Special Campaign 6: 02–31 October 2026

 

The Ministry is preparing for Special Campaign 6.0, aimed at institutionalizing cleanliness, reducing pendency, and improving administrative efficiency. The campaign will focus on effective e-waste management, including the identification, segregation, and environmentally responsible disposal of obsolete electronic equipment. It will also promote record management, optimum utilization of office space, and sustainable administrative practices, further strengthening the Ministry’s commitment to responsive governance, transparency, and a citizen-first approach.
