In the State of Uttar Pradesh, 4 EMRSs have been sanctioned and construction has been completed in all. Out of these, 3 EMRSs are functional.
To increase the success rate of tribal students in competitive examinations, various initiatives have been taken like bridge courses, remedial classes, and academic mentoring are provided to support students with learning gaps and ensure smooth transition across grades. Career counselling sessions are conducted to provide clarity on higher education and career paths. Special coaching programs like NEET/JEE preparation in partnership with reputed institutions are provided to Class XI & XII students. Under CSR, three Centres of Excellences (CoEs) for IIT-JEE and NEET preparation: CoE EMRS Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh), CoE EMRS Chintapalle (Andhra Pradesh), and CoE EMRS Chankapur (Maharashtra) are established. These centres offer structured offline coaching to meritorious students from the EMRS ecosystem. In addition, the ENABLE program has been launched to provide online coaching support for IIT-JEE and NEET preparation to all science stream students enrolled in EMRSs across the country.
The funds released for the operation and expansion of EMRS in Uttar Pradesh during the current financial year amount to ₹1478.81 lakh.
