Nationwide HPV Vaccination Campaign Underway for 14-Year-Old Girls at Government Health Facilities

As per the National Centre for Disease Informatics and Research (NCDIR) – National Cancer Registry Programme (NCRP), the estimated number of incidence and the estimated number of mortalities of Cervical Cancer in the country during (2021-2025), State/UT -wise is at Annexure I & II.
As per the National NCD Portal, 8.73 Cr women have been screened for cervical cancer as on 17th February 2026.
The nationwide HPV vaccination campaign is running targeting eligible girls aged 14 years at designated Government facilities like - Ayushman Aarogya Mandir (AAM) - Primary Health Centers (PHCs), Community Health Centers (CHCs), Sub-district Hospitals (SDHs), District Hospitals (DHs) and Government Medical Colleges and Hospitals (GMCHs).
The Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare, Shri. Prataprao Jadhav stated this in a written reply in the Rajya Sabha today.
