DCPC organises Job Fair in collaboration with AIPMA

Secretary of Department of Chemicals and Petrochemicals (DCPC) Ms Nivedita Shukla Verma today said that the DCPC is fully committed to support and promote organisations involved in facilitating job opportunities and skill upgradation of youths.
The secretary assured to extend all possible help from DCPC to representatives of All India Plastic Manufacturers Association (AIPMA) in such constructive activities during the visit to a Job Fair organised at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi.
The Secretary of Chemicals and Petrochemicals stated that the department is continuously supporting initiatives like Rozgar Melas and skill development programs.

She further mentioned that, on behalf of the department, Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET) is giving a special emphasis on skill development and modulating teaching methodologies to hone the young talent according to the need of the industry.
The Secretary noted that various international companies recruit students, and there is a critical need to upgrade skills and qualifications to keep pace with the changing demands of the industry.

The AIPMA Job Fair Season 2026 was organised by the Department of Chemicals & Petrochemicals (DCPC) in collaboration with the All India Plastics Manufacturers Association (AIPMA) and with the support of the Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology (CIPET).
The inaugural ceremony was graced by Ms. Nivedita Shukla Verma, Secretary, DCPC, as the Chief Guest. Further, Shri. Deepak Mishra, Joint Secretary, (Petrochemicals), DCPC, Prof. (Dr.) Shishir Sinha, Director General,CIPET, and Ms. Mercy Epao, Joint Secretary, Ministry of MSME and industry representatives were also present.
The Job Fair highlighted the employment potential of the plastics industry, emphasised the importance of skilling and upskilling, and showcased AIPMA’s role in strengthening industry–academia collaboration. More than 30 International and National companies participated in the event which is one of the biggest job fairs of the plastic industry.
