On the occasion of the 77^th Republic Day, the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying,GOI organized a special interactive session with around 350  Rashtriya Gokul Mission MAITRIs and AHIDF (Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund) Beneficiaries including their family members from across the country.

          

The special guests were felicitated today in an interactive session organized by the Ministry in the National Capital. The occasion was Graced by the Hon’ble Union Minister, Shri. Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh, Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry & Dairying (MoFAH&D) and Ministry of Panchayati Raj (MoPR) along with the Secretary, DAHD and also with other senior officials of the Ministry.        

In his address, Hon’ble Union Minister Shri Rajiv Ranjan Singh lauded the invaluable contributions of MAITRIs and AHIDF beneficiaries to the nation’s development, appreciating their dedication and tireless efforts at the Grassroots level. He highlighted key government initiatives such as the National Livestock Mission (NLM), Rashtriya Gokul Mission, Livestock Health and Disease Control Programme (LHDCP), and the Animal Husbandry Infrastructure Development Fund (AHIDF).

The Hon’ble Minister also underscored the importance of adopting new technologies and innovations like Sex Sorted Semen (SSS) and In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) to enhance productivity in the livestock sector. He encouraged all stakeholders to work closely with the Ministry to meet sectoral targets and also contribute towards the vision of a Viksit Bharat and an Atma Nirbhar Bharat.

                

Shri Naresh Pal Gangwar, Secretary, Department of Animal Husbandry and Dairying (DAHD), GOI also addressed the gathering, reflecting on the significant progress achieved under various government initiatives in the livestock and dairying sector.

Ms. Varsha Joshi, Additional Secretary (CDD), Shri Rama Shankar Sinha, Additional Secretary(Livestock Health), Dr.Naveena B. Maheswarappa, Animal Husbandry Commissioner, Shri. Jagat Hazarika, Advisor (Statistics) along with other Senior Officials from the Ministry also attended the interactive session with the beneficiaries.
