The Department of Fisheries, under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, successfully concluded Special Campaign 5.0 held from 2nd to 31st October 2025. During the campaign, the Department achieved notable progress in cleanliness drives, records management, and grievance redressal. Demonstrating a strong commitment to efficiency, transparency, and citizen-centric service delivery, the Department ensured nearly 100% disposal of pending matters, including 25 VIP/MP references, 65 public grievances, and 25 grievance appeals. It also conducted over 60 cleanliness drives through its field institutes, surpassing the target of 50, and undertook a focused records management exercise that led to the removal of more than 100 old files, thereby freeing up valuable office space. The key achievement of Special Campaign 5.0 lies not only in the disposal of scrap but also in fostering a sustained culture of cleanliness, efficiency, and accountability, reaffirming the Department’s commitment to good governance, continuous improvement, and maintaining a cleaner, more productive work environment.
