Projects under PPP

The Mode of the project is decided based on multiple factors like traffic, financial viability, availability of resources, market conditions, and criticality of stretch/ corridor. The details of number of PPP projects sanctioned during the last three years and the current year, year-wise under NHAI, is attached at Annexure-I.

A total of 14 projects have been terminated by NHAI. The list of such projects is attached at Annexure-II.

Some of the Projects has been delayed due to various reasons such as Force majeure event i.e. Covid-19, Land Acquisition, clearances and other issues from Concessionaire. All efforts are being made to complete the projects on time.

 

(Various corrective measures being taken to avoid delay in completion of projects mentioned as under:

 

            (i)         The projects to be awarded on adequate availability of land for  projects.

(ii)        Milestone based project monitoring through PERT Charts/Project   Management Software.

(iii)       Multiplayer review mechanism involving all stake holders including State Govts. and Central Ministries for timely resolution of issues.
