सांख्यिकी आणि कार्यक्रम अंमलबजावणी मंत्रालयाचे (एम. ओ. एस. पी. आय.) राष्ट्रीय सांख्यिकी कार्यालय (एन. एस. ओ.) 2012 = 100 च्या आधारावर अखिल भारतीय ग्राहक किंमत निर्देशांक (सी. पी. आय.) आणि ग्रामीण (आर.), शहरी (यू.) आणि संयुक्त (सी.) साठी नोव्हेंबर 2023 (तात्पुरता) महिन्यासाठी संबंधित ग्राहक अन्न किंमत निर्देशांक (सी. एफ. पी. आय.) जारी करत आहे. अखिल भारतीय आणि सर्व राज्ये/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांसाठी उप-गट आणि गटांसाठीचे सी. पी. आय. देखील जारी केले जात आहेत. यानुसार नोव्‍हेंबरमध्‍ये देशातील किरकोळ चलनवाढीचा म्हणजेच महागाईचा दर 5.5 टक्के आहे.
एन. एस. ओ., एम. ओ. एस. पी. आय. च्या क्षेत्रीय कार्यान्वयन विभागाच्या क्षेत्रीय कर्मचाऱ्यांनी वैयक्तिक साप्ताहिक भेटी देऊन सर्व राज्ये/केंद्रशासित प्रदेशांचा समावेश असलेल्या निवडक 1114 शहरी बाजारपेठा आणि 1181 गावांमधून किंमतींबाबतची माहिती गोळा केली. नोव्हेंबर 2023 महिन्यात, एन. एस. ओ. ने 99.9% गावे आणि 98.6% शहरी बाजारपेठांमधून किंमतींची माहिती गोळा केली, तर त्यामध्ये नोंदवलेल्या बाजारनिहाय किंमती ग्रामीण भागासाठी 90.0% आणि शहरी भागासाठी 92.2% होत्या.
सामान्य निर्देशांक आणि सी. एफ. पी. आय. वर आधारित अखिल भारतीय चलनफुगवट्याचे दर (गेल्या वर्षीच्या याच महिन्याच्या तुलनेत म्हणजे नोव्हेंबर 2022च्या तुलनेत नोव्हेंबर 2023) खालीलप्रमाणे दिले आहेतः
