Interaction with beneficiaries of various government schemes has been at the centre of the ongoing Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra (VBSY). However, it was a little different on Thursday, November 11, 2023 as Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself interacted with the beneficiaries of the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra via video conferencing.

For the unversed, Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra is being undertaken across the country with the aim of attaining saturation of flagship schemes of the government by ensuring that the benefits of these schemes reach all targeted beneficiaries in a time-bound manner.

Smt. Balveer Kaur, a dedicated farmer and Sarpanch of village Rangpur in Gram Panchayat Trewa of Jammu district radiated a sense of pride as she shared her journey with Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Her journey is a testament to the transformative power of government schemes and initiatives in rural areas.

Smt. Kaur detailed her utilization of various government schemes, illustrating her story as a beneficiary of the Kisan Credit Card, the Farm Machinery Bank Scheme, and the Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana. Her village, nestled near the border, echoed with the hum of progress brought about by these initiatives.

The Prime Minister's admiration for her hard work and attention to detail was palpable as he congratulated her on becoming the proud owner of a tractor procured through the Kisan Credit Card. Her response, echoing her commitment to grassroots work, drew appreciation from Prime Minister of India.

“Aap se hi seekha hai grassroot par kaam karna. Kaam karti hoon aur bhoolti nahi hoon. (I have learnt from you to work at the grassroot level and not forget details of the work),” she humbly replied, highlighting her commitment to never forgetting the essence of her work and the lessons learned from the Prime Minister's emphasis on grassroots efforts via Jan Bhagidari.

As the conversation deepened, the Prime Minister emphasized the crucial need to disseminate awareness about the saturation of government schemes. He encouraged Smt. Kaur to extend her knowledge to neighbouring villages, to ensure that every corner of the region reaped the benefits of these initiatives.

The government's unwavering dedication to ensuring that every citizen received the benefits echoed throughout the conversation. The Prime Minister highlighted the purpose of the Vikasit Bharat Sankalp Yatra, underlining the significance of learning from existing beneficiaries while extending support to those yet to embrace these opportunities.
